Hey it's not just this message board. It is everywhere. Western society in general. Sex is on everyone's mind a lot of the time, it is the human condition. As a culture we are choosing to suppress it less and less and be more and more irresponsible in how we handle ourselves. In a previous thread cognitive dissonance was brought up, and anymore the idea seems to be set in a negative light. There is this idea that one could be much happier if they let themselves go and that their stress levels etc. would be reduced if there were less internal conflict. I certainly don't believe that is true. I believe there is a moral responsibility to have our conscience regulate our wants and impulses, even if it does create internal conflict. |
