I WAS GONNA REMIX THAT!

i hear you - my connection has been shit lately too.

no worries though - i'll leave it up for a good while unless
i write something much much better real real soon - which
probably won't be a while cause this song is fucking hip.

i have projects planned for remixing some kirby, strider and
fester's quest tunes too.

sounds pretty good :D it was fun, can't say i'm familiar
with the original, tho?

Bionic Commando - a fantastic and underrated Capcom game. It
was basically a run-and-gun type game, but the catch was you
had a stretching grappling arm that could grab objects and
that you could use to latch onto things. A pretty
revolutionary game for the time - plus it was the first time
I saw a swear in a game! (damn and hell are used a few
times)

Download a ROM of it - it's fucking hard but fun though.

damn dude why don't you just STEAL MY LIFE

(covers up kirby remix project folders)

heh, that's sounds cool, but i've never been big on gaming.

since that mix was so cool, i checked out yer .tk page and
got a random song (which ended up being "Flourescent
Ultraviolet Neon Kneebone" i believe) and it sounds really
good too! shame yer feeling so drained, i could go for some
new material :D

i never seen you post any video game remixes here nigel -
just your originals - which i highly enjoyed.

hurry up and finish some and stop procrastinating or i'll
beat you to it. :P

oh thank you! yes that song is from my second album "Baron
Von Ugly" which will be discontinued on Nov. 30th, because
the label that has been publishing it is closing.

however, i do have much new material that i haven't put up
yet - i'm thinking about getting a page at some shitty free
ad-driven host like angelfire or geocities and hosting them
myself.

hey oddio, since i was kinda enough to do some work to grab
a track of yours, hows about getting one or two of mine?

pick and choose from here, but may i suggest "and she
sat in the corner crying" or "untitled for now". and spot
the videogame music melody in "asro" as well :D

there's a few tracks here.

listened to "she sat in the corner crying" - nice stuff,
good atmosphere and melody - however my comp stopped it at
about 65% complete for some reason (poor connection) so i
was not able to get the complete track, but i got a good
feel for it.

nice stuff indeed. :D

i am listening to "science is the reason i broke up with
you" right now, sounds great !

little different from most of our stuff, but it's still one
of our best. i spose that says something about the rest, eh?

whenever i'm remixing the music for NES games, i get the
music from a file called an .NSF - a file of NES music, that
uses the original coding to play back the music, then i
record it in wav form after playing it in Winamp - you can't
convert it to MP3 since it's just coding.

Go to Zophar's Domain to see a list of Plug-ins for Winamp
and other apps for .NSF, .SPC (SNES), Gameboy and other
music - they also have complete soundtracks for games.

'tis pretty nice.. i don't remember the original music much,
but this sounds like you mainly spruced up the percussion
quite a bit, and maybe pumped up the bassline a bit.. it'd
be nice if you would have added some more of your own
melody, or a new synth line to really liven it up even more,
and make it even more of your own.. but for what it is, this
is a nice littl track.. the only bad thing i can think of is
the little, but still noticeable pop/glitch in the mp3
encoding at about 2:09.. but that's really not your fault at
all.
keep up the nice work.

Fucking ace of bass. Love the beats starting up at :45, made
me want to jump out of my chair and swing around on shit.

Bionic Commando was great, there was a decent sequel for the
Gameboy but nothing since! Would be a great game to
resurrect on the new systems, Rygar-style. The physics of
the swinging and grappling would make for some fun ish.

Anything other NES stuff you're planning on remixing? The
level 1 theme for Batman is hardcore to the max. It already
has some hard beats and booming bass... for an NES game.

you should do a mix of the music from the wacky races game,
tmnt, and california games..

i did a remake of the frisbee/disc-throwing game in
california games a while back.. but it was pretty shitty..
but there are some potential hit songs in that one, i tell
you.

Adventure, Fester's Quest and Earthbound Zero.

i'll check that Batman out.

There's some gaming memories.

Kirby's cool, I suppose, even if he's getting 'FOXBOX'
