I think it's boring besides "V-PROC", which is an absolute
jam. I like the start better than the main groove though.

Nice one on the rebump.
This is my favorite ae release, and my first!
It clicked right away, because I was looking for a type of
music to really fuck with me, and ae came into my life at
the perfect time.

Its waaaaaaaaaaaaaay different to those thar albums.

I still prefer the earlier stuff, I find the new stuff
interesting but I'm still waiting for it to kinda get me
emotionally if you get what I mean? I think it has the
potential but I'm not getting it yet.

I think this album is growing on me these days... maybe a
very underrated album by me till now

its not good, its a masterpiece

I like it much. Unlike Confield, I loved Draft from the
first listen (I love Confield now).

offline Exaph from United Kingdom on 2004-06-10 19:50 [#01234017]
Points: 3718 Status: Lurker

My gf bought me this and Confield. Found it easier to get
into than Confield. I do think some of the beats and noises
are excellent, ie. like nothing else Ive heard, but the
music does tend to bore me overall. I'm not sure if
listening to an album should be such hard work. Love V-Proc
mind. I dunno, I think maybe it's just too machiney. I often
think half you guys claim to love it just because of the
technical ability thats present on it.

whats your fucking problem? its the biggest pile of shite
ive ever had the mnisofrtune to hear. and believe me i won't
be listening to it again. sorry, i didnt realise i wasn't
allowed to 'unlike' this clicky bollocks. autechre are the
worst group ive ever heard.

it's not a matter of not liking it. it's a matter of
expressing it in such rediculous extremes at the point of
really not getting a point across.

Great stuff. Took a while to grow on me but some of the best
stuff often does. There's just this awesome texture to some
of the stuff they do with drums. V-PROC is so special,
freaks my whole house out :)

its not as bad as confield which is as bad as you can get. i
like 1 track, the rest is worse than the greatest hits of
the backstreet boys. is that ok for you? stupid bastard. is
that allowed in your narrow minded expression of electronic
music? you twat

drummond, take your head out of your narrow ass for a while

Man I love the bit in 'reniform puls' where the DJ goes
'BREAK IT DOWN YO'ALL' and the 4-to-the-floor comes in BOOM
CHT BOOM CHT BOOM and the 'CLAP THOSE HANDS, STOMP THOSE
FEET' bit yeah i love that bit

i really like this, all the tracks are classics surripere is
my fav - my first listen i really really liked it, but then
it started grow on me even more, but i pick it up all of the
time, and get something new each time, my fav+ of 03, which
btw was a better year for music than 04.

This album is a classic. Although some of the
noise/breakdowns are a bit much. Reniform Puls perfectly
describes all of autechres different styles, and is prolly
the best most beautifull song they have ever made.

offline clint from Silencio... (United Kingdom) on 2004-12-28 14:25 [#01438411]

HEhe, yea I do actually agree with that. I think its quite a
breathtaking song. The synth bit that comes in around 1.52
is so unreal... I could listen to that on a loop for a long
time. And also the synth pad underneath the beatmongery in
the second half - I didn't notice it until after several
listens, and when I did, it transformed the whole thing into
something even more alien and melancholy.

The only valid reason for disliking Amon Tobin is that you
think sample-based music is cheating.

I think you're just not cool enough for me and tallyho.
