excelent band, exciter wasn't their best though... hope they come up with something better next time.
I seen Dave Gahan live recently, he's amazing live... he did some good versions of some Depeche Mode stuff too.

Anyone who likes them ought to check out the Mexican band Moenia -- good music in the same style.

depeche mode are ace! I went through a big depeche mode / joy division / the cure / bauhaus phase when i was about 14, but haven't listened to any in months. It's not because I don't like 'em, i just forget about them when i'm choosing cds to put on.
Must rectify the situation....will go find Ultra now. yarr.

Hell yeah. But New Order is better...

Some Great Reward and Black Celebration are by far my favorites. Never got into their first few albums, or Ultra.
Their Singles Collections are gold, compilations are a gift from God.

How about Nitzer Ebb? They kind of stradled the line between that darker new wave sound and industrial. I mean they were corny too but sometimes the music was fun.

I feel you Your sun it shines I feel you Within my mind You take me there You take me where The kingdom comes You take me to And lead me through Babylon
This is the morning of our love It’s just the dawning of our love
I feel you Your heart it sings I feel you The joy it brings Where heaven waits Those golden gates And back again You take me to And lead me through Oblivion
This is the morning of our love It’s just the dawning of our love
I feel you Your precious soul And I am whole I feel you Your rising sun My kingdom comes
I feel you Each move you make I feel you Each breath you take Where angels sing And spread their wings My love’s on high You take me home To glory’s throne By and by
This is the morning of our love It’s just the dawning of our love

Little fifteen You help her forget The world outside You’re not part of it yet And if you could drive You could drive her away To a happier place To a happier day That exists in your mind And in your smile She could escape there Just for a while Little fifteen
Little fifteen Why take the smooth with the rough When things run smooth It’s already more than enough She knows your mind Is not yet in league With the rest of the world And it’s little intrigues Do you understand Do you know what she means As time goes by And when you’ve seen what she’s seen You will Little fifteen
Little fifteen Why does she have to defend Her feelings inside Why pretend She’s not had a life A life of near misses Now all that she wants Is three little wishes She wants to see with your eyes She wants to smile with your smile She wants a nice surprise Every once in a while She wants to see with your eyes She wants to smile with your smile She wants a nice surprise Every once in a while Little fifteen

There’s a new game We like to play you see A game with added reality You treat me like a dog Get me down on my knees
We call it master and servant We call it master and servant
It’s a lot like life This play between the sheets With you on top and me underneath Forget all about equality
Let’s play master and servant Let’s play master and servant
It’s a lot like life And that’s what’s appealing If you despise that throwaway feeling From disposable fun Then this is the one
Domination’s the name of the game In bed or in life They’re both just the same Except in one you’re fulfilled At the end of the day
Let’s play master and servant Let’s play master and servant
Let’s play master and servant Come on, master and servant

Here is a song from the wrong side of town Where I’m bound to the ground by the loneliest sound And it pounds from within and is pinning me down
Here is a page from the emptiest stage A cage or the heaviest cross ever made A gauge of the deadliest trap ever laid
And I thank you for bringing me here For showing me home For singing these tears Finally I’ve found that I belong here
The heat and the sickliest sweet smelling sheets That cling to the backs of my knees and my feet Well I’m drowning in time to a desperate beat
And I thank you for bringing me here For showing me home For singing these tears Finally I’ve found that I belong
Feels like home I should have known From my first breath
God send the only true friend I call mine Pretend that I’ll make amends the next time Befriend the glorious end of the line
And I thank you for bringing me here For showing me home For singing these tears Finally I’ve found that I belong here
