So yeah, I posted this track about 2 weeks ago or so... but
this is the revised version... its much better, and much
more interesting.

Alot more melodies, and textures, and development etc

anyways, enjoy...

happy tune for a change hehe, i've been listening to way too
much depressed music lately

anyway, its nice - but the trouble is (imo) that too many of
you (music makers from the board) make tunes that dont stand
out for some reason, i mean it doesnt attract my attention,
just sounds like good background music...there always seems
some little details are missing to make the tune stand out -
in this particular tune i like the melodies and all little
details, but the rhythm is just too monotonous imo/for my
likings

offline bryce_berny from chronno (Canada) on 2003-10-28 17:28 [#00922459]

yea I just think a lot of the music from people sounds like
a bland rehash of something or a crumpy halfass noise tune
rather than something really interesting
I would check more of it out if it werent for the fact that
whenever I check any out, it is usually a crap

Sounds way to much like a videogame to me.

I had a real hard time getting into this or listening to it
for that matter.

This doesn't mean it is a bad track at all but it was an
opinionated based comment. It's just not something i like to
hear.

i thought it was pretty groovy, zeus. and trippy and mellow,
too. i like it.

well it is better than before. I dig that funky bass solo
you added in. A bit more atmopheric than before, which is
always good.

offline Zeus from San Francisco (United States) on 2003-10-29 09:21 [#00923815]

no... its cause this is a revision of a track I did
before... its better then the original version

at least I think so anyways :-D

It's pretty straight forward (the drums). The recording
sounds very clean and pro. With drums this straight forward,
it's hard to think of anything you could add, except for
vocals obviously.

I've been listening to Astrobotnia all week, so I'm
expecting crazy percussions from left and right, all the
time.

heheh

yeah... I kinda just wanted a drum groove to kick back to...
not to tweak out to :)

I dunno... this track was just random and for fun... felt
like doing something different

yea... loads better.
A lot lighter and it makes me want to listen to it through
more than the other version did.

nice job

It seems to have more bomp now, more schwingitty schwang.

I notice there's a big space in the midrange where you could
stick a rap. Or take the fetus-voice in a sampler and lower
the formant and mix it louder all cut up prefuse 73 style so
it sounds like a giant cut up fetus rapping real loud.

"This is disgusting! It's pornography!" exclaimed a pasty
slug like woman in a fur coat, vanilla ice cream smeared
across her double chin like a money shot. The balding
professor type in his mid forties, his left hand stuff
brassly down the front of his pants. "No, no, no. This is
beautiful. This is art."
