Hotmail Popper is a small application that allows you to check your Hotmail account e-mail from a normal POP mail client (such as Eudora). Unlike standard mail accounts which allow users to retrieve their e-mail through a POP mail client, Hotmail can normally only be checked on the web, or via Outlook Express. With Hotmail Popper, you can use your favorite POP mail client to retrieve your e-mail from your Hotmail account. In addition, Hotmail Popper allows you to send e-mails through Hotmail's service, as if it was a normal SMTP (outgoing mail) server.

I'd probably just configure Outlook 2003 to receive my Hotmail if I were bothered about it.

bah...
it's crazy to pay for a web browser. and i'll be damned if i'm gonna surf with a browser that has banner ads built into it's menu bar... that's just rediculous. and, besides, i can't see any advantage that opera has over firebird/mozilla... ok, sweet! i can zoom in and out on a webpage, that should be good for novelty once or twice, but it hardly justifies spending money on it.
and, you could of course steal the full version of opera... but, why? it's not really any better than the free alternatives.
but, of course, to each his own. at least we all make it onto the webernet somehow, right?

who said anything about paying for it? know what I mean :)
besides, I'd rather pay for a stable and secure browser, rather than to use a free, unsecure and highly unstable browser.. Simple logic.

web based mail sucks balls.
the only advantage is in a library or on campus, where you can check it at multiple locations without having each computer have grabbed different bactches of incoming mail

Banner? where? hehe :)
And, there are hardly any security issues associated with Opera, as opposed to Internet Explorer, where a new risk is discovered every day, in which they have to release a patch to fix it..
In my time of using Opera, I have only seen two critical security issues ever.
But I know it's hard to change from one application to another, simply because your more comfortable with what you're already used to.

yes, that's true, and that's why this application is so neat.
