A couple of days ago, I bought cylobotnia, and the new VS LP, and they are both great! The VS album , is definately the best VS ive ever heard. Around half the tracks are wicked dnb drill ragga, like only mr.funk knows how. These tracks highlight how poo the bug really is. The other tracks are my faves. Abomination street samples the corination street(UK soap) theme (oh yes!) and is a wicked track to match. Marty's tardis has bits of the dr.who music popping up, but generally these are mild distractions from the music, which reminds me of a mix of aphex, uziq and vs of course. some of the tracks have a slight squarepusher feel to them, which is nice, and some definately have that vs nosebleed style. EINSTEIN-ROSEN BRIDGE is a wicked song, I almost bought the 12" as well as the LP, I think I will anyway! Astrobotnia is called an EP, but its quite a long one. Its also very good. When I first heard that cylob and ovuca were teaming up i thought, it would be crap. not so. Its actually rather good. Some of the songs have a real techno-gamelan feel to them, and although i wouldnt say its amazing, it definately is rather nice, and also the lp cover has a white circle on it which looks like a hole, but its not. well it made me and the bloke in the record shop chuckle! you'll see for yourself if you buy it! . |

yeah i just bought cylobotnia today, and man is it ever sweet.....it will take a few listens to get really into it though, much like AE work |
