yeah we went up in the Euromast tower thing, and it was such
an amazing view of the city... I got some great pictures...

but those apartments... I was so blown away by how cool they
were... I SOOOO wanted to see the inside... so we looked
around a bit, and low and behold, one of them is a museum
that you can go in... it was awesome!!

I've never been there myself, at least not that i can
remember (I live deep down in the south of holland and have
never had any reason to go there). Of course I've seen loads
of pics of the city but I was just curious of the pics
Funkmaster made.

quite a strange place. strange mixes of architecture.

Funkmaster - if you're still here next february, you should
go to the International Film Festival Rotterdam. the whole
city center is about film FILM FILM!!!

I don't really like rotterdam. Well, it's probably a fun
place to visit for a day or so. And i must admit there is
alot of great architecture. And nice museums and whatnot.
(the rotterdam pathé movietheater also has the largest
screen i've ever seen in a cinema! It's fantastic!).

But i studied in rotterdam for 5 years... and it's (imo)
just not a nice place to come to everyday. It can feel cold,
and lacks atmosphere. Not enough old buildings left
either... the whole city just doesn't feel "cozy" like some
other big cities do!

But hey funkmaster, if you saw the kubuswoningen, you
probably also saw 'my' artacademy :-p They're only like a
100 metres apart.

disagreed.

it has it's own, strange atmosphere.

the city seems scattered in some strange way. I love how
when you step out of central station, you're enveloped by
these huge office buildings - such a strange experience.

no, I really like it. it has it's own taste.

And if you really knew your hardcore, you'd say "I thought
this thread was about Rotterdam records"
and then you could sing:

"Rotterdam takes it up the arse... doo daa doo daa...
Rotterdam takes it up the arse.. doo daa doo daa
day!!!!!!!!"

well, between Rotterdam, Amsterdam, and Den Haag (I guess
the three main cities of The Netherlands which I've visited)
Rotterdam was my most enjoyable visit so far... those
apartments just were the coolest thing ever... and the
Euromast had such a great view... too bad the weather
sucked... but it still rocked...

I'm sure once I see the Red Light District in Amsterdam I'll
change my mind about my favorite city! :)
