I'm finally gonna get this game! (for SNES). I found
someone who's selling it together with a converter (since it
was never released in europe), and he swears it works
perfectly on a european PAL-Snes.

I can't wait! I've heard so many wonderful things about this
game. And all the screenshots i've seen look way better than
what i thought the SNES was capable of. I'm so excited :-)
If all goes well i'm gonna pick it up tomorrow.

It'll be a three hour trip to get to his house, but it'll be
worth it... hopefully :-p

It comes without a box or manual though. So if there is
anything written in the manual that i should know
beforehand, please feel free to share.

yeah chrono trigger is pretty bad ass, traveling 3 hrs to
get it...i dunno...

not sure if i'd trust a converter either (never heard of a
ntsc > pal snes converter, but i'm sure there has to be one,
just never heard of it).

did you get this off of ebay? whats your connetion with this
guy?

Chrono trigger kicks ass! I've played through it, but only
on emulator... you gotta get chrono cross for playstation,
too!

"traveling 3 hrs to get it...i dunno... "

Well this may be my only chance to get this game at a
somewhat reasonable price... i figured it's worth it.
Besides... what's three hours really? :-p I'll just bring my
discman and a copy of druqks or something, and time'll fly
by!

never heard of a ntsc > pal snes converter,"

Yeah they exist alright. Back in the days when i used to
rent SNES-games once in a while, sometimes i'd get an
american cartridge with one of them. You stick two
cartridges in... a european PAL cartridge to "fool" the
SNES, and in the other slot the american one. Problem is
they sometimes wouldn't work with some of the games. Which
is why i'm so excited this guy is selling the game + a
converter he knows will work with it.

"not sure if i'd trust a converter either"

Yeah that is a little scary. I also remember from my
renting-days that they used to get incredibly hot if you
used them for a couple of hours. They are by no means
official nintendo-products, so it's always a risk. But i
have two SNES's :-p A heavily-used old one that's all dirty
and scratched. And another one that's hardly been used and
is like new. I'll just play Chrono Trigger on the old one
:-)

"did you get this off of ebay?"

Sort of a dutch version of ebay...

"whats your connetion with this
guy?
"

Don't know him at all... hence the 3 hour trip! I could have
just let him send it over, but i'd rather see it in action
before i hand over the cash.

Damnit, i wish this guy would mail me already! I wanna know

trigger). Now that i've gotten myself so hyped up about it i
must have it!

"neat updating your avatar."

Yeah thanks. Another xltronicguy named BIG put patrick in

it's a snes rom that's set inbetween chrono trigger, and
cross. It's not all that great, and infact 'causes chrono
cross to lose it's luster.

Probably from anywhere you can download a ROM.

It's actually a text adventure, if my memory serves, and
some of the text kind of complicates the Chrono macroverse's
timeline.

Not very highly recommended.

sorry man; didn't mean to get so brash. i took offence to
you putting radical dreamers in quotes (implying i was
making shit up).

it is text based, and does suck. i dont' sugest it, but if
you're to claim mastery level of anything others who
challenge you expect you to be just that, a master. Putting
it in quotes told me that you had no clue what i was talking
about, and any laman with a internet connect and at least
google it and pretend to have known about it the whole time.

sorry, i was ACTUALLY looking for a fight eairlier for being

chrono trigger is without a doubt one of my favourite rpg's
of all time. it was one of the first games i played that
actually encouraged replay value with multiple endings and
the new game+ mode. plus there's SO much to do in that game,
and the final boss is fairly challenging. do have fun.

magus is my favourite character, btw.

Are you serious? Have you never heard of the Super Nintendo?
It was Nintendo's 16bit console and it was awesome :-)

norwegian link

Alot of those old SNES-games are now being re-released on
the GameBoy Advance. Imo it really says something about the
quality of the game if they can still sell 1000's of copies
of a game more than 10 years after it's original release :-)

(which is nice ofcourse, but i'd like it even more to see
them release something completely new for Gameboy Advance,
but that's a different topic altogether).

Chrono Trigger is the greatest game ever made, the night I

Well i've got it! :-D
The converter works flawlessly, thank god for that!

I can't get over how ugly those amercian
snes-cartridges look though :-p So blocky and
not-streamlined and a dirty grey color... hm.

Well, i'm not particularly far in the game yet, i only had
time to test if everything worked properly. I just woke up
and apparantly someone wants to show me an invention or
something. Later tonight i'll play with it some more and see
how the story will develop.

Yeah i know about your poster ophecks, you've talked about
it many times. Infact it was probably all your talk about
this game that made me want it so badly :-p

And now that i've got the converter, i could probably get
Earthbound too (if i can find it). If i remember correctly
that's the other great snes-rpg you're crazy about :-p

Infact it has moved in the last 8 years. A long time
ago (but not as long as 8 years) someone on xltronic wanted

Don't try to deny it, because you know i'll search for the

And yeah, Earthbound is the second best SNES RPG (hence, the
second best RPG ever by default). Definitely look it up...
last I heard, it was supposed to be released on GBA with the
first Earthbound (Mother) in a 2 for 1 deal... but that game
isn't popular enough here so we may never see it over here.

I've still got all the documentation (BEAUTIFUL booklet!),
but unfortunately, my box hasn't survived too well. I sat on
it once. Or twice. It's flattened, but I've got it.

Yeah, Japanese carts always look leaner and meaner. I have a
converter for the NES, came with one of those cheap-o (yet
AWESOME) 31 in 1 (and 51, and 101) Japanese games.

Here's the arse-end of the poster.
