I think it's funny the first time someone reccommends to
uninstall software when someone asks for help with it, but
like it's the first reply post in every "help" thread so
it's starting to get a bit old.

Esp for me with FL coz I use it and love it.

Unfortunately I don't know how to help with yr problem. It's
not something dumb liek you have it opened in another
program or sumn (like if you're trying to render over the
top of an existing .WAV)?

Is it only with wav renders or does it not work with mp3
renders either?

"It's

Thats the fucker I ALWAYS get!!! 8C

I used to find FL somewhat un-inspiring, but since I
bothered to read the virtual manual I've been in awe of some
of the possibilities. The only thing I find is it seems to
sound very dull when compared to most of the software that
I've had a play with e.g. Reason, the sound practically
sparkled, I only had a bit of a play with a demo of Reason
but yeah, it sounded special, although technically this
should not be possible as they both support the same audio
rates............ weird, no?

it all depends on the plugins and such that you use.. for
instance i've only just started using vst instruments and
effects in my tracks (like only in my latest track).. and
compared to the built-in buzz instruments they cane.. and
i'm not just talking about high end vsts like absynth and
such, i've been using some freeware stuff and also some
synthedit creations that are fucking awesomahj,./

Yeah, I know alot of the FL plugs are fairly basic sounding
(esp the reverbs & other effects), I use mainly freeware
aswell ;) but still Reason has a certain quality of sound
(to my ear) that gives it an edge. I mean for the price of
replacing all the plugs (well, atleast all the fx & synths)
you could buy reason twice over. I just think if you are
after a one stop music shop Reason is of a much higher
quality out of the box, plus FLStudio is a bit of a
tempramental bitch at times............. I still think it is
great for most things but it is lacking for an all-in-one
studio, anyway......... I'd like to hear this latest track
of yours if I could rF? :D

it's not cleared yet but it'll be here soon.. i'll
spam it here maybe

i havent really tried reason yet (mainly because i cant get
a decent version from soulseek/kazaa.. i've got a demo, but
how are you supposed to learn it in 30 mins??) but i do
agree it has a certain awesome quality to it.. however there
are some nice plugins out there like this one which is
apparently a nord lead 2 emulator .. and a few from
here like 'motion' which is a phase distortion +
virtual analog.. i used both of these in my latest track..

Fuck!!!!!!..... you've been a busy man, thats alot of
tracks!!! I may have got through them all this time next
week.

I've been using Synth-1 for about 8 months or so, it's one
of the better free synths out there. Cheers for the other
site, not seen that one before.

I probably have some links to a few sites that you may not
have, I'll post them if I can find 'em.

Yeah I think the FLreverb (not the freeverb the actual
proper one) and the flanger are actually quite decent
quality.

They do their purpose.

I'm not gonna spout off on reason coz I haven't really used
it - but I've never really felt that the sound quality was
lame in FL.... I think there used to be some degradation in
older versions but ahh who cares

Here we go, there are some FX plugs here

http://members.lycos.co.uk/abyssplugs/index.html

How long have you been using FL for rf?

ok.. i dont have too many vsti site links, only stuff from
kvr-vst.com .. but yeah if you can find any good fm synths
or phase distortion synths that'd be awesome..

oh and the new track will be 'endt' when it's cleared

I wouldn't say FL sounds lame by any means, it just isn't up
to the standards of other software such as Reason, I have no
idea why, I suppose it's like comparing a Lexicon reverb to
a Boss, the Boss does the job perfectly well but the lexicon
has that pro touch.

Perhaps you have another program open, that uses the file.
