october break for schools - I work for an after-school club
(left nursing home) and work 8am til 6pm for two weeks
(half-way thru) ... took kids to an associated school club
for halloween party, and put on LFO Frequencies for their
musical-bumps and musical statues -- kids had a great time -
bringing LFO to the children.

two in particular, both girls as it goes, really liked the
tracks 2 and 6, and listened to them all day on repeat on my
sony discman.

i just ordered LFO's latest album. Ive never heard anything
by him/her/them. I decided to take a few gambles with new
[to me] idm artists.

it's a very good album, just don't expect it to sound
IDM-ish.. a bad but slightly helpful comparison i could make
would be aphex's acid and ambient work, not his later drill
and IDM

Yep, I agree. In particular:

Mum-man = Like Caustic Window Track

'Premacy = Sounds a bit like SOSW/ SAW2 Hybrid (track title
even sounds like a sosw track - "Supremacy)

yea i thought of "supremacy" too when i first heard it.. my
gf thinks it sounds just like vangelis though. personally i
can hear both influences but i really like (uh oh, is
braindance backwards here to say i'm "brown nosing?") how
mark bell does dubby/echoing effects on his synths and drum
programming, it adds an interesting and unique texture. it's
a style i don't think anyone else on warp has done half as
well as him..

an old casio on setting no. 46 that has a sweeping synth
thing that if you play a minor chord of 3 notes starting at
the dominant and hold it down for a certain amount of time
co-incidently it sounds like a certain track made by a
certain couple of gentlemen which got to a certain number in
a certain chart a certain number of years ago

I was reading up on circuit bending speak and x last week.
It finally prompted me do dig both my speak and spell and
speak and maths out of storage. Unfortunately it turns out
they were sold and not my other electronic games as I
remembered(memory is so cruel when it lies!).

what i'd like to know is why it has taken me 12 years to
realise the woman is saying 'you have to understand' in the
track 'you have to understand'. i only wish i was joking.
