It's OK they took me back out when I was 16.

I wouldn't say that parent's 'feeding' children music
necessarily equates to preconditioning. I was brought out on
a opera and classic diet with a spinkle of jazz and since I
have expanded to rock, alternative and electronic. I think
the 'preconditioning' lies in the quality of the 'fed'
music. Play quality (regardless of genre) to children and
you're building good taste...

All classical from day one... Both parents are musicians -
Remember being into the Beatles, especially Yellow
Submarine, from very young.

well, my parents listened to country and gospel music
*vomit*

my brother probably had a bigger influence... he used to
listen to stuff ranging from Metallica, to Madonna, lots of
late 80's early 90's pop stuff... most of the reason I love
the 80's is because it reminds me of those times... my
brother had loads of tapes, and I used to take em and listen
to em... that's how I got into U2, probably the first band I
was really into... I found his joshua tree tape, and te rest
is history...

My parents: the shadows, moody blues, led zeppelin, deep
purple, fleetwood mac and some icelandic 60's bands that
were influenced by the beatles. My mom has always been into
classical music as well.

My brother listened to Metallica and later hardcore so I
guess that hardcore had something to do with me being an
electronic fan.

I think it really began though when I was 14 (5 years ago)
when a friend of my brothers played me Polynomial-C and Rae.
I thought it was wicked and the rest is history.
