why does everyone think the exorcist is the scariest movie
ever???... these people definately need to expand their
herizons... everyone REALLLY needs to see the movie
BEGOTTEN... most fucked up, creepiest movie i've ever
seen... seriously go rent it.

I've never seen the film of the Exorcist. I read the book of
it for the first time last week, very good story even if a
couple of the characters in it were annoying. A friend who's
a priest told me it was based closely to a true story
(strange that this isn't mentioned in the book), except that
it was a boy that was possessed, not a girl.

My mom told me the excorcist was really the shit when it
originally came out. At least in Finland people passed out
in the movie theatre and had to be carried out. So of course
my mom and her friend weren't allowed to go see it but they
did anyway and didn't sleep at all that night.

For me, of the "classic" horror films The Shining seems much
scarier though.

I went to see this with friends at the cinema when it was
re-released.....and we didn't think it was scarey. In fact
there was one point in the film where one of us burst out
laughing!! :D
