i had the same thing...except the tooth was impacted towards my cheek, it was towards my second molar.
yeah i'm missing a small portion of jaw in the vicinity, but an extent regenerates...
stitch you back up? only the parts they cut...you'll be left with holes where the teeth were erupting fromt he gums. believe me, you'd NOT want them to sow those up...imagine them forcefully pulling /stretching, stictching, and grafting gum over THAT much space...
not fun.
the pain killers are tight. stay AWAY from tylox (it gave my sever migranes). tell the oral surgeon that you have a BAD history with it, and request prozak!!!
personally i got stuck with vicidin.

mine have just come through. Hurt like anything for a couple of weeks. dentist said it was better to keep 'em in unless they were causing major problems or became infected. gave me this crazy stuff to put on the gum to numb it - a bit like bonjella(sp) but much stronger. weird shit.

Had all 4 of them removed (not at the same time). It's no big deal really. Two of them were kinda complicated, so i actually had to go to the hospital to the "dental surgery" department... but even those two teeth i thought went easily.
I didn't get any pills, they just injected the painkiller into the gums surrounding the wisdom tooth. And then she just grabbed that tooth with some sort of device, and took it out in one pull! Jeez, i was bracing myself expecting her to forcefully pull at it for a couple of minutes... but it was like the tooth wasn't even attached to my jaw, so easily.

oh that was awful!!! i had two removed, one from each side...the anesthesia makes you cry when you wake up, and i looked like a chipmunk for atleast a month afterwards. it hurt so badly i think i went through several bottles of tylenol. i got dry sockets in both sides and had to go in nearly every other day to have them put in some weird cinnimon shit.

I got all 4 taken out at once. Didn't feel anything for the first 3 days, after that when they start to heal they can swell up and you get that itchy/achey 'healing' feeling which was kind of uncomfortable for a week or so, but just one vicodin kept it all good :D don't worry at all.

but when I came out of my anaesthetic blackout I was laughing and the texture on the walls was dripping. That's some strong shit!
