I'm listening to fucking Mindless Self Indulgence right now
and hating myself for liking it.

Never heard of The Shadows.

MSI does have some decent drum programming though.

at a concert (my lady friend made me do it); and i'm a man!
there's a picture in the 'artists with best hair' thread or
something

I don't hate myself for liking anything. If it sounds good (
to me ) then I'll listen to it.

I too like MSI by the way.

Mindless Self Indulgence is OK.... but the concept should
have been done WAYYY better than it really is, so overall
its just shit.

My Guilty Pleasure? Id have to say.... uh...... ...........
None?

i was hoping for an actual legitimate guilty pleasure...
who'll stock there neck out and confess their undying love
for some dopey pop song or other? (i'll give a list if
people are willing to play fucking ball here...)

I dunno like Madonnas Music is a good song, but I would
never consider anything I liked a guilty pleasure or
something to be ashamed of in anyway.

I guess my love of cheesy 80's music would qualify, but I
don't feel guilty about it, cause to me it's good music...
shrug... I like what I like, and that's it!

I'm slightly ashamed to admit my guilty pleasure but just
recently I picked up an old album I havent heard in decades
and I thought "damn I love this album" Incubus:make
yourself. I do love Science and Fungus Amungus but theres
something about make yourself.

Shameful, I know. Guilty pleasure indeed :)

offline uzim on 2003-10-14 10:03 [#00901667]
Points: 17716 Status: Lurker

afxNUMB > i only have one track, "Nice To Know You", and i
like it... i listen to it quite regularly in fact... : )
i think i heard "Wish You Were Here" too and i like it as
well. (by the way i don't like the Pink Floyd song by the
same name).

offline uzim on 2003-10-14 10:05 [#00901671]

here is my cd list... the only thing i'm guilty to have is the
korn, slipknot and post-mechanical animals marilyn manson,
but i only have it on mp3 and barely listen to it anymore.
(a few tracks from time to time, that's all)

Uzim, both those songs are from their album Morning View
which sucks the big one.sorry :)

And I have no respect for you if you dont like "wish you
were here" from Pink Floyd cause every Pink Floyd album is
wicked-awesome. :)

Those two songs by Incubus suck, you have to listen to their
earlier studd love :)

I LOVE Deadsy- Commencement, some of the most unabashedly
cheesy synth pop around, it's great.

I love 80's pop hits like Take On Me, Sunglasses at Night,
Murray Head and Tomas Dolby and all that... artistically
questionable material. I'm not guilty about it though, but I
necessarily have it blasting when I'm driving down the
street... I've gotta keep my indie cred.

The Monkees are also brilliant, but you all already knew
that!

ewwww,im so not a Monkee fan. I know all their stuff only
because I love their era of music but ahhh I'm so not a fan
:P

think they kick ass.

My guilty pleasures: Kill Hannah, Tatu, Aaliyah, Justin
Timberlake (his solo stuff is great!), and I LOVE Ludacris!

I know this is a joke thread really, but the whole idea of
music one enjoys being a "guilty pleasure" is pretty
silly... you shouldn't ever feel guilty about liking
something... if you like it, it's good... the whole idea of
some genre of music being cool, or certain artists being
relevant is stupid... it just comes down to what you like...
a lot of the music I love would be considered crap, and
cheesy by a lot of people here, but to me it's great
excellent music... if I can listen to a song by The
Backstreet Boys, and really enjoy it, and be affected in a
real significant way, then it's a good song... however, no
Backstreet Boys songs have done that... but yeah, it's all
opinion... good music is what you like...
