Alright, I admit up front:

this isn't 'electronica'.

And it doesn't even seem that 'experimental' now.

But if you're one of the Ninetie's best frontmen, who's
always dreamed of recording a Loveless, and you've the cash
& hookup, well, why not ?

everything was experimental at some point.

the bravest man in the world was the first caveman who got
on a horse.

Two brilliant soundsmiths (Butch Vig & Alan Moulder) sort
out the 70's - rooted grandioisity and contemporary rock
that was (and will always be) the Pumpkins.

Hmm... great point !

Billy & Jame's occaisionally insane guitar work meets with
Chamberlin's industrial - strength (read: arena - grade)
drumming meets D'Arcy's reliable, strong bass. The rest
truly is history.

Oh yeah, forgot my score:

silverfuck is awesome, maybe a WEE bit over long, but today,
disarm and (the immortal) cherub rock easily make up for
that.

9.8 / 10

soundtrack to my teen age years must be... shit the more i
think about it, the more songs/cds/bands i think about.

a certain cd always gives me a specific memory.

NIN - Ross' house
Nirvana - my ex-girlfriend
RHCP - Grade school

etc....

I was 15 in 1992, so me and my friends had parties where we
listened to Red Hot, Pumpkins, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Stone
Temple Pilots and Alice in Chains. Aaah. Those were the
days. I'm an old man...

You're not old enough to look like Oakenfold.
I can tell you that.
When I have a party - you're always invited.

I LOVE Billy's guitar tone on that album. And his song
writing. He wasn't a pretentious prick in over his head yet,
it was brilliant.

I don't think James Iha or D'Arcy played on that album, did
Chamberlain?

So it's an urban legend then? I thought he played everything
but the drums. Not that it matters, he and Jimmy are the
only ones with any real talent.

Linck

be right. He is def the brain, yes.

I always heard BC did all the work on the album, except the
drums which Jimmy covered.

It's hard to believe, but I always though he prolly had
James and D'arcy lay the tracks, and then he just went back
and redid them when no one was looking, but that's just
hearsay :)
