Yeah so i am pretty drunk now and i was trying to see how fast i could drive on this stright away and after 107mph my car slowed it self down. wtf is that???
I dont know much about cars but i thought i had more to go :/
how fast can you go?

my car can't go faster than 140 kmh. it's a pretty old car. (peugeot 205 xrd, 1990)

well, I got up to like 150 km per hour one time in my car, and 140 in an old van we used to have... my van started shaking and stuff at that point, so I decided to slow down... :)

The reason your car slowed down was from the governor that's installed on almost every vehicle. A Governor is a control device that maintains a steady speed, or limits the speed of an engine by controlling the supply of fuel. I have a '97 Pontiac Firebird, and my governor kicks in at 120 mph. But I know it could go alot faster, at least 150 mph, if it wasn't for the bullshit governor. There are ways of removing/turning off the governor, but it's different for different vehicles. And doing so could possibly fuck your shit up, and is probably better just left alone.
