I vote for Miranda
pros: you can download plugins so it works with almost every messneger out there. Incl. ICQ, MSN, AOL, mIRC and more.
It takes almost no system resources. It's adjustable to the smallest detail.
cons: has sometimes problems with file-transferring in MSN and ICQ, and some problems with adding MSN-contacts. Rare but it happens.
test it yourself: Miranda IM vs. Trillian

I've tried both, and I don't like any of 'em. I stick to the natural flavoured ones instead

haven't they all stopped working with msn, or are about to soon?
otherwise if they do find a way to continue working with that service after msn does their "upgrade" then i will have to switch to trillian..
