Who loves this track? I do... This is definitely one my
favorite Autechre melodies... songs like Slip, Yulqueen, and
Piezo prove to me that Autechre have the best melodic sense
around... then add their awesome beats to that, and you have
some kick ass electronic music!

yep... my favorite track off Amber... sounds so emotional
and intense, yet so delicate... it reminds me of the stuff i
used to do when i was 15 using a vintage pipe organ and
guitar pedals...

The melody is really beautiful. Same with Piezo, there's so
much going on with the synths underneath the percussions.
The ending in Piezo is why I love early Ae. There's a very
simple and beautiful melody going on in C/Pach too. You
barely hear it the first times.

Damn them for abandoning everything that was beautiful about
their records.

i don't remember what the track itself sounds like, but it's
on Amber, and i like all Amber.

I would like them to get in the ol' DeLorean and rediscover
their sensitive side, for sure. I miss tracks like these.

Slip has to be the happiest thing I've ever heard them do,
it just makes me all giddy inside

It starts with a very delicate melody and doesn't veer off
too much. Some other ambient noises come in and there's some
heavy delay fx towards the end. It's all pretty.

I often skip this track,.. not because it's bad or that I
don't like it, in fact I love it, but I just can't wait to
hear nil

great track, and i second the call for them to return to
previous form. i understand and respect what they want to do
as artists, i just really like their earlier stuff better.

they didn't abandon that at all, they just disguised it
under layers of other things

yes, youre right. i was going to say something like that,

Oh yes, a wonderfull track indeed...so silent and yet so
intense... I used to sleep to that one a lot, coming down
from a hard night on town, curling up like a fetus in my
bed...

Hehe that would make a great video for it. A mother comes in
and puts her baby in a crib, then walks over to the hi-fi
and puts on yulquen. You see the baby staring at the roof
and finally fall asleep :)

I made a remix of Yulqueen a while ago, but never bothered
"releasing" it because really, there's no point! The
original is too good.
