What do you use for the drums in your tracks. I know I have asked this before but I have searched high and low for similar sounding things and I just can't find them. Do you use samples for the drum loops or make them shits yourself? If you make them yourself do you then make a sample loops and use that, or do you do each hit yourself.
Yours Gratefully In Advance
Me.

speak for meself here but I use a combo of crack cocaine, a rusty kettle and a squids foreskin to pummle my beats. With each I usually combine 44x.

yeah yeah. and someday i'd like to ask mr. OD if he'll send me one of his tracks in floop form. so i can see how he's doing everything. but i won't...because i'd feel silly, and i wouldn't expect him to. i know if i were him i wouldn't share. heh.

don`t ask what people do for their tunes. Just do what you do. I`ve realised recntly that if you analyse or critically compare your own work to others you will
A:) Produce inadequate material because you yourself will feel like you are inadequate.
B) Will be less inspired as you are constantly rationalising.
Not to say i`m the fountain of knowledge here, but stick to your own guns. It`s usually mistakes in music making that make good tunes. Spontenaity. Just fuck around with sounds and then you will find a groove you like. And don`t feel threatened by making a great melody or making a classic beat. Just make what sounds good to yourself. Chances are if you like it, so will other people.
Okay thats enough semi-drunken rambling from me, but yaknow, that advice is mostly aimed at myself and is rather cathartic, but I think and hope it is ok advice.
ok bye
i`m off to drink anoher rolling rock and collapse. PS Uk readers. Spar are doing 8 rolling rock for a fiver! :D

Oh well...i don't have any mates :D
Besides you have something special with your melodies...I could never get to that I was just interested in that main drum you seem to use...it is very very aphexy...I tried nabbing a beak from his tracks but I haven't found a clean enough loop.
The synth patches you use are amasing as well.

oh, i do shtick to me own guns (though i have branched out a bit lately, which i'm still yet to decide if it's for the best...because now i can't seem to go back to what i was doing before which was easier for me)...mostly just for reference's sake. you know. i couldn't make an OD track if you threatened a school of hungry pirhanas on my dong. and like dr. lee said, mostly just curiosity, i think. both dr. dirqual and dr. OD have some amazing sounds going, and i'd just be interested to see the "inner workings" of their tracks. teh "bluuueprints", if you will. *shrugs* that's all. now i'll go back to being bored again.
