So..while I'm sitting here with my joint and my orange soda
which I haven't done in 3 months (smoking the joint that is,
I think I'm addicted to the orange soda), I'm listening to
'µ-ziq live in Chicago', and some of my own music (which I
my add is an experience I enjoy quite well when I'm stoned.
It brings me closer to being a listener instead of a
musicmaker), something came to my attention.
I noticed how IDM-listeners really are becoming close to be
a subculture of a subculture of a subculture. Electronic
music evolved from synth and rock in the eighties. IDM
evolved from electronic music. But it was more which role in
this 'uber-subculture' we where fitted as that fascinated
me. Of course; we are hippies! Having our little discussion
that can't stop evolving from music into everyday life. And
our listening-methods; at a concert we all sit and enjoy the
music without the need of jumping around. We are enjoying
abstract pieces of sound that our children one day will call
hippie-music and outdated.
Though I do believe that we might be a sub-culture in the
fifth (by thinking that rock was evolved from folk-like
music, and folk-like music went straight back to
cave-music), it's still a theory that could become
validated. There is also the chance that we are a 'new' kind
of culture.

...damn this weed is the snizzle dizzle

that show snoop dog has on MTV is actually quite
entertaining. Though it has that 'ok I forgot to write this
episode, so we just make something up'-feeling to it, it's
still likeable.

Most delayed double post ever

I can't go to a concert and just stand there. I need to hit
people.

IDm is a shit term, does the term "music" not suffice well
enough?

IDM is Intelligent Dance Music (oddly enough) ...it'
s basically Aphex twin, Chris Clark, Autechre, Boards of
Canada, and all that stuff.

linky and linky

It is not intelligent...mostly not dance...and some of it
pushes the boundries of music...it has to be one of the
worst ever genre names.

typical 'IDM' listeners want it soo bad to be intelligent,
when its just hip music.

i haven't smoked in a while.

had a lung collapse (spontaneous pnumothorax) and thus, due
to self-safety, am refusing to smoke bud for a while.

least i don't smoke ciggies; would probably be going insane
:)
