Ooh it's by Eric Persing. That means it probably is full of
uselessly lush pads that take up the whole frequency range
of the human ear and all you can really add to them are some
piercing hihats :P

I hate that people use these.. it's almost as if 70% of the
work is already done by someone else.. the sound of whatever
track in which u choose to employ something like this was
not crafted by you but rather some company.. and if helps
blur the line between the truly talented with an ear for
personalized/individualized/unique aesthetic and those who
are just using some spiffy synth they downloaded..

in other words, the sound of the instruments used in this
genre is of great importance.. and if you're leaving all
that crafting up to someone else.. why bother even making
music.. passing off slightly manipulated and arranged sounds
other people created as an original work.. fruuuaad

I agree I can't use any complex presets in my music at all
any more because I feel a total fraud.
