I know they're not IDM (what the fuck are they, anyway?),
but they fucking rule in my opinion. Every song just kicks
ass.

They haven't got enough albums, though; been trying to look
at suggested alternative bands on various websites such as
Tricky, but they're nowhere even close, and the tunes aren't
anywhere near as cool, although they do sound interesting;
I'll keep listening.

Anybody know of anything simular?

Most people would describe them as "Trip Hop" but their
latest album is a bit more rocky and housey in places than
thier past ones. They've got a new joint album/dvd out next
year I believe so not too long to wait now.

Heh, rad; yeah, trip-hop is what I thought it was, although
it's usually a term I use to describe hiphop with much more
electronica than usual.

Rad, new album? Can't wait.

Actually, additionally to my question above - they got any
(decent) b-sides around the place?

I don't have any of their singles except for the "low fives
remixes" (one good track one okay one) both quite housey-
you can play them in clubs no problem. They've done a couple
of decent remixes for other people/collaborations. Their
remix of Every Me, Every You by Placebo is good.

Man, nobody knows of any artists like Sneaker Pimps?

Surely there's some out there...?

Nope, there's no one quite the same as far as I know of. I
wish there was... Not too similair, but if you like sneaker
pimps, you'll probably like Portishead too. I recommend
their first album, "Dummy". There is some collaboration
track between the pimps & portishead floating around P2P
called "waterbabies".

yeah, already a fan of portishead; not quite the same as
sneaker pimps, though :(

cheers for the suggestion, though

I've always loved the "6 Underground" beat.

didn't the female lead singer leave the group or something?
i'm only familiar with the release becoming x and
the track long hard road out of hell with marilyn
manson for the spawn soundtrack, but i really like them.
