who here has had braces? i might have to get them AGAIN soon. The first time i didn't really finish the treatment, i just thought fuck it and didn't do anything after i got my braces off like wear a plate etc. |

i had them for a bit over a year...i dont wear my retainer...i have an ortho in about a month...better start wearing it, i think this is my last one ever (better be, my braces came off before i was 16!). |

Yeah, I had them for three years, right up to grade 12 (groan). I'm a diligent retainer-wearer... I've got it in more than I have to, in fact. I have to wear it at night, but sometimes I wear it in the day just for kicks. It's anarchy in my mouth. |

nah i'm 19. i first had them when i was about 14 - 16. and i didn't wear the plate or anything afterwards. as soon as i got the braces off i only went back to the orthodontist once. i'm not complaining i spose, it's my own fucking fault, and i don't wanna have fucked teeth. they are fucked, but not unbelievably fucked. like you wouldn't notice if you looked at them. i do have the choice of course, but i don't want bad teeth. they're only gonna get worse from here. |

god i hated them. had em for like 3 years or so then i had to wear a retainer... i kinda slacked on that... so now my teeth are all straight and stuff... except I got alittle gap in my front top teeth. ah well. no fucking way im goin to wear them again but on a side note... i had a dream the other night, that I was still wearing my retainer.... and it got bent... and i shoved it in my mouth, and so my teeth where shaped all weird and deformed... and it hurt, and blah i woke up, and was touching my face... you know that short transitional period right after you wake up, and your mind is still kind of convinced the dream was real... and it takes a minute to realize it was all in your head |

I had them aswell. aswell as 2 retainers. Pain in the arse when you want to eat. :/ |

nah never had to - i've kind of got fangs but they don't look bad or anything, just looks kind of quirky so i never bothered with braces |

I had to wear braces for two years, but fortunately they were the removable sort so I could take them out for rugby or judo. I once forgot to and getting hit in the mouth wearing braces is not fun. The bits of metal that grip the teeth slipped into my gums :/ |

I was advised to wear them a couple of years ago but I refused. But as long as they (my teeth) aren't sticking out at funny angles I'm not really too bothered. |
