i was looking into speakers a while back, and from all the reviews i've read by people who have bought them (audioreview.com or something i think it was, pretty good site)
the general consensus was way overpriced andshitty. Back in the 80's i think they were great, so this kind of 'prestige' has hung around their company but up until a year or two ago, they were still making the- uh, whatever the main speaker surface is called (great, now my advice sounds shitty),
out of paper. So maybe they are starting to improve on their old design, but I'd visit audioreview.com; you'll most definitely find something better such as JBL or Bowers & Wilkins, etc.

from what i've heard, there are other, better speakers for the money though.
