dude, are these guys worse than the telemarketers or what?

i got some crap where it changes my homepage when i start
internet explorer up. goes to the same super-gay place
everytime. ten zillion pop-ups. can't find the crap in my
add/remove programs or anything, sneaky bastards.

anyone having similar issues, and feel like venting?

anyone have a suggestion on how to exorcise this demon from
my computer's bowels?

Adaware might help

Well... my computer randomly locks up the first couple times
I use it every day and it's both virus free and spyware
free... anyone suggest I get a new computer?

Spybot Search & Destroy is great at getting rid of this crap
and it has a cool name as well.

and if that first link doesn't work, you can always try that
next one which is exactly the same!

... I'm gradually getting the hang of this place.

i had something like this once, this was before i had heard
of adaware (or it even existed? it was a while ago) but i
just found a file that kept changing the homepage in the
programs>startup directory and deleted it. of course the
best sollution is to download adaware (its already been
linked a few times :P).

once my homepage had set itself to some porrno site. i
simply changed it in the interrnet option section and all
was well.

And by harrassing you and sending you to their stupid site
irrespective of whether you want to go there EVERY time you
surf is going to accomplish what?

I mean if you DID want to visit there at some point this
kind of thing would put you off anyway.

If they want to make you aware of their site this would
really just make you aware that you DON'T like it.

So again I ask what is it supposed to achieve?

I hope it's not "Lop" you've got infesting your machine. The
people who make that really ought to be brutally hacked to
bits with a soup spoon.

Once my homepage was set to a porno site, which was well
handy because I kept forgetting the address.

I prefer Adaware over Spybot - Adaware seems to find more
stuff than Spybot.
