limewire, the latest version is great. I'm using OSX (Mac)
though, not sure if it works in Windows.

I don't download mp3's, I listen to online samples and buy
the records.

Seriously, if you like the artists you download, go buy
their stuff. But feel free to dl all the Lenny Kravitz and
Limp Bizshit songs without purchase. All those fuckers need
is more $ to release more horrid music.

I'm running Mac OS X so the options are not what they might
be on windows.

I used to use Limewire but that application is a piece of
shit and OSX's support of Java is lame as well, so I got
tired of it.

I sometimes use iSwipe, which works fairly well but doesnt
always have the mp3s I want. I also don't like having to
reinstall a new version every couple of weeks.

I've started using Bittorrent but its selection for music is
shit. There is some aphex and BoC but I already have all of
the stuff on there. Bittorrent seems mainly meant to share
software, video clips, movies, etc.

if you use OSX get the latest version of Limewire, it used
to be slow as hell but I think they have finaly fixed it.
