Got this album (by Seefeel) in the mail today. It's been
out of print for a long long time now and I could order it
second hand via amazon (also thanks to Jedi Chris!). Brand
new, still in shrink wrap (!!!) for $25! I can now die
happy.

Well, quique is a bit like My Bloody Valentine - Loveless
but more electronic. Very hypnotic music, ideal to listen to
in bed with headphones. Polyfusia (see my avatar) is much
like Quique. CH-VOX, another favourite of mine, is very dark
and minimalistic ambient.

Check them out if you can :)

Seefeel is one of the greatest bands of the 90's!

BTW, I bought Tangerine Dream's "Encore" today :) It's nice,
as well as niceprice!

They clustered into different project like Disjecta and
Scala - among others- but none of them beats Seefeel...

They heard you were interested in their material and
vomitted themselves to death!!

Muahahahhahaha!!

I get surprised when people say the Disjecta EP (first one)
and album aren't that great cos I think they're pretty
damned amazing! And Succour is also magic.

great album, it was one of the first electronic albums i
ever bought.

best track = charlotts mouth

my opinion.

which is, of course, the final word.

I didn't say they aren't great, but I prefer his effort for
Seefeel. I have both the Disjecta albums and I love them!

Anyone have the stuff Clifford released as Woodenspoon? I've
never been able to find it anywhere...

Are you gonna open it or keep it as a collector's item?

I didn't mean you. I was just talking about having heard
various people say that a number of times over the last year
or so...

I have the Woodenspoon EP and that is also very nice.
Nothing like Disjecta or Seefeel, but still rather good.

ok, sorry... :)

What on earth does that Woodenspoon EP sound like? Does it
have that distinct Mark Clifford signature all over it?

I totally adore his remixes of the Cocteau Twins btw...

Not sure about that. I didn't know it was him for a while.
I'd heard that it was by Aphex and I'd heard it was by
Squarepusher so I didn't really have much of a clue for
sure. Didn't actually think it was either of those two but I
don't think I'd have guessed Mark Clifford either.

I initially hesitated to open it but I decided to do so
anyway. I want to enjoy it to the fullest extent and
actually use it rather than just leaving it on my shelf
shrinkwrapped :)

i remember when the Woodenspoon EP came out there were huge
threads of people trying to guess who it was...anything from
Aphex to David Sylvian (????)....Souff-Souff kind of gave it
away for me cos of the tune and its sonic nature.i love al
his stuff i reckon.Mark Cliffords last Disjecta release
('True-Love By Normal')is worth checking out as well .kind
of hints at a really striking style.cant wait for a full
lengh new album from him.
