Anyone agree that Speedy J's Loudboxer album is one of the
best techno albums on the market right now?

The CD is shit. You have to have the vinyl to appreciate the
200 locked grooves.

A Shocking Hobby is his best work, imo.

Public Energy and A Shocking Hobby are among the best IDM
albums IMHO
Loudboxer is the biggest let down ever. The middle half of
it doesn't even sound like techno, it's like bloody bad
trance.

There's plenty of better techno albums than Loudboxer out in
the market mate.
Check out Tobias Schmidt "Dark of Heartness" and "Destroy"
and testify my brother.

I thought i had to bring this one up again, as i have been
listenin to it recently, i agree it aint the best and it
does sound very trancy during middle, but its still great.

from tracks 1 - 5 it sounds fuckin awesome

Socking Hobby is phenominal.

i have a shocking hobby and loudboxer (cd), and a shocking
hobby is definetely much much better. i actually bought it
because weatheredstoner recomended it in another thread. i
still want to get the earlier release(s) because i liked the
tracks on the artificial intelligence compilation, i think.

also ginger. but public energy and a shocking hobby are good
records, 'maniacal futuristic shit' said a friend of mine. i
do enjoy public energy more, it has some really annoyingly
cool tracks. it's enjoyable in the same way as neil
landstrumm and ventolin are :)

as for his techno stuff i have two techno lives by him an
they are very good, but not _as_ cool as his other stuff is
compared with better stuff in the genre. i haven't been
checking out the absolute latest techno though. i sold my
copy of kreck since there was no point in having it - the
tracks sound so good in his sets

what a coincidence, I´m, listening to it at this very
moment and indeed one of the best techno albums that are out
there, only the "live" tracks are a bit weak imo

a friend of mine visit him the other month and told me that
he is a real nice guy, not full of arrogance

i would start with ginger, it's really laid-back and then
i'd listen to his other stuff to see how much different
styles he has.
