what is it like? i mean can it be compared to someone?

offline hobbes from age on 2003-10-05 10:12 [#00889960]
Points: 8168 Status: Lurker

nice naive ambient melodies and very crunchy beats....can
be compared to tri repetae_ chiastic slide era
autechre...thats my opinion though .... i also reckon
track 7 for example could be old skool aphex.....

offline hobbes from age on 2003-10-05 10:14 [#00889961]

bet he d hate us comparing though :D
all in all im happy to have this release ...though my fave
track of his is from the smak series, its called traktor
track i think....great.

mine still hasnt shown up! hopefully the mail man will stop
by tomorrow...but i don't know if i can wait until NEXT week
for my nmb allstars -- THATS the one i'm REALLY excited
for.

my personal fav. are his smak as well. he sure can kick a
mean beat -- wish he'd come up with melodies that were more
interesting overall though (referring to the 3" cd).

"nice naive ambient melodies and very crunchy beats....can

id like to come back on that and say that it doesnt
really compare to ae. ok thats said.

no its not (250 copies according to the xltronic
discog)....its by the nmb allstars who have just released
bolton 8......at warp and skam still i think but should be
pretty limited i reckon...

the bug ep, well, it's kick ass basically ESPECIALLY the
bugaboo remix -- i get that song in my head all the time
thanks to nmb.

i thought the bug ep was a bit boring, but thats my own
opinion. i am looking forward to the qy record, my fave
stuff by him was the smak stuff, esp. the traktor track. his
best release yet.

well i heard it today, my verdict is that quiny's melodies
need a bit of work -- they are pretty bad. but those beats
are pretty good. all in all, a so so release.

hobbes -- did you check out the sm03, the comp. from spezial
materials?

Well I had it today and my verdict is:
the melodies are just nice (reminiscent of Bola or BOC) and
the beats crunched like I like, very autecherish...

Did anyone else had the toilet paper sleeve with "
[...]consumers in the industrialised world, we ingest an
[...] of 14.8g to 17.3g of cosmetic food additives per day
... average" within the packaging

Quinoline Yellow is the name of a colorant FYI.

str_ph..
i think you replace the [...]
with the word "average"

mines a paper towel - - which you dont wipe your arse with
:)

what is FYI, is that french?

Just wanted to mention something.

I am a huge Quinoline fan, and was out on the hunt for some
of his prior to SKAM tracks that he had put out on some
compilations, and was kind of struck by on in particular.
It's called Sunny Delight suit, and after to listening to it
I'm convinced that he must be a major player in the Tatamax
project.

That's really just my opinion, but I can't imagine too many
people having that exact sound.

Yes it's a paper towel / I said toilet paper > we, dirty
frenchmen, we use our fingers for that business, you know.

I'm sharing it on soulseek this afternoon GMT. (and no I'm
not ashamed to do that - I would never have bought this
record if I hadn't the opportunity to know ae and gescom
through filesharing systems = note to those who will reply
why not buy it).
