you don't have to see the re-make but I think the money and
time would be better spent making something original...
thats why I mind.

The ending pissed me off, I thought it was far too easy.
The film itself was pretty creepy. I couldn't really take
the red bag too seriously tho' as I have one very similar!

Amateur freediving in dark water (at night with no lights)
is very scary but good fun too. When you're on the sea bed
you can't see a thing, not even where the surface is...
nothing but darkness all around and a faint high frequency
noise of bits of gravel travelling around on the sea bed.

It's utter nothingness, I can see the attraction people have
with sensory deprivation tanks although I've personally
never been in one.

Divings nerve-wracking enough when you can see. Surely
going down without lights would be really dangerous?

I thought this was about Pirates of Dark Water, that early
90's cartoon/toyline/videogame. Ren, the guy with the badass
broken sword. One of the funner side scrolling beat-em-ups
on SNES!

Yeah, I'm matey with a couple of people who dive properly
(with equipment) and they told me it was really dangerous.
The thing is, I know the beach well and have checked it for
underwater obstructions at low tide (the tide hear changes a
vast amount, second highest in the world) so I can dive at
high tide and get about 20-25ft out of it and still be above
ground I've walked on a few hours previously. It's not
unknown to get burnt out cars on this beach, but it's a
comparatively small risk.

It's only free diving and I can only do it for about 30
seconds tops in the sea... it's a lot easier to hold your
breath when you can see how far to the surface/tell there
aren't conga eels inches from your face and hence you don't
panic.

I've onyl dived when it has been properly dark about three
times, but to be honest, when you get down to 20ft in the
crap water we have here, even on a good day you can't see
much, just the direction the light is coming from...

About a minute and a quarter lying down out of water, about
45secs to a minute in the water lying still, about 30-40secs
if I'm actually swimming about.

My older brother can hold his breath for over 3 minutes, so
there's a bit of a feeling that I have to get my time up too
:)

I tend to carry a large stone out on my back, exhale as I
sink holding on to it, stand or sit on the bottom (lying
flat out on the seabed is pretty scary, I've only done it a
couple of times) and then when I get short of air, I swim
quickly to the surface.

I know the correct breathing techinques, so don't worry, I
won't get the bends or rupture my lungs ;)

Do you dive then? I keep meaning to set aside some time and
cash to do a PADI, but at the moment music is more important
to me and I'm happy to keep it to snorkelling while on
holiday and free diving here.

Went diving this summer on the Barrier Reef. T'was amazing.
I was scared shitless initially. It's a very bizarre
sensation being hooked up to a regulator etc and descending
12m. I paniced and tried to come to the surface but the
instructor held me down. I was shitting bricks, i really
was! I knew I'd regret it if I didn't do it tho' so i went
back. I'm so glad I did. I went again later that day too.
Once you're down there you lose all track of time. It's
like being in space. It was truly breathtaking. I really
want to go again. bloody expensive tho'.
