as being a recent addition to the page, I feel somewhat
left out..... I say we hold a remix contest of our own.....
any ideas who to remix, where to post remixes for collection
of votes ? I'd presonally like to see another XLT, but if
that's not soon, we should take the initiative

I think everyone is pretty bored of remixes at the moment.
All there seemed to be for a while was remix contest after
remix contest. :P

You know what ?

I when back, listened to EVERY remix that was posted of
Aphex's work, and realised how VERY accomplished most of it
was.

Not that we should stick to AFX, but other than that
(concise & brilliant) mega - mix of Drukqs by whoever runs
thinktoy, there's been no new material in that 'folder'.

I have a hard time believing that so few people want to
tweak AFX's work over AE's.

So you reckon we should remix Drukqs?

I remember mucking about with a dude's Winamp components, in
particular while playing tracks from Go Plastic & Drukqs,
you know, speeding up or slowing down, and creating honest -
to - God unique & fascinating textures.

I don't own a very hi - fi comp; this was over at a pal of
mine's.

I was thinking of turning entire albums into samples, and
writing an hour's worth based on compressing four albums
into fifteen minutes each, then shreding pieces of that into
drum tracks.

I know, it either sounds too ambitious for a first album, or
too 'been there, done that'.

BUT, if I can scrap together enough for a decent music
creation program & a faster PC, should I try it ?

I'm not saying album remixing (though that too is a great
idea), but taking a less obvious choice, a track that most
wouldn't consider.

After all, that's what AFX has built half his career on.
