.. and we recorded most of it.. i've uploaded 3 tracks .. so checkit., oh yeah and this is fairly raw and unstructured, because everything was played completely live.. except the drum phrases which were pre-programmed but triggered by keyboards.. |

Hehe, this is pretty neat. Bit nitty gritty with the sound quality ofcourse. I do stuff like this with me brother when he brings his laptop around. A shame we don't record it though. |

anyways, i didn't care too much for 'dropkick' the melody sounded really out of place, and there were a lot of other little things that just sounded...odd. but jazztime and final kick ass. that bit was really good. i'm guessing that's the order it went in, too. got better as it went. you guys should do it again sometime. i'll bet it's even BETTER. =] |

its not the whole thing, there's still a 5 minute track and a 9 minute track to upload, at least from that session.. john's got the other one on md .. oh yeah and as for who did what: dropkick: i did the low bass sound and john did everything else jazztime: the same beats from the previous track are john's, the glitching is mine.. final: i did some drums (the ones that sound a little like 'corc' by autechre) and glitching, john did everything else,./ hopefully we can get the md stuff uploaded, john's md player fucked up and erased one of the others.. which contained an improvised version of my track 'plasma cuts' .. |

well basically john had his usual setup (i'll let him explain because i cant remember his stuff, basically it was a synth sampler and keyboard).. and i was using buzz (my buzz setup is ) being played with a midi keyboard with various knobs assigned to parameters like filters, glitching, degraders, etc.. and i also used the reaktor and energyxt vstis .. energyxt was used to play the drums, you can set up entire drum patterns and then assign each one to a separate key, so holding down a c-3 for example would play one drum pattern and a c#3 would be a different pattern.. basically thats it.. |
