They werent very good. Saw them supporting for Autechre who
totaly outclassed them in every possible way, and i feel
team dyobi are trying to tread a similar path. They did have
one good tune though with a phat as fuck bassline.

how are most idm acts live ?

i've only seen a few, and the only ones that actually got me
'moving' were Denzel & Huhn.

"how are most idm acts live ?"

Better than Team Doyobi, with the exception of perhaps
Russell Haswell :P

hehe, guess its just me who thinks they suck big time?!

their shite attempts at being "clever" and weird just didnt
wash with me at all. they just seemed like a poor autechre
clone. saying that, i saw then when autechre were touring
confield, that was a couple of years ago, they may be better
now?

yeah...thats what i was thinking....that would have been a
long time ago.
they are really awesome, i reckon...you should check out
"cryptoburners".
a great album.

has anyone heard Mod Truckin' yet? why is it so fucking hard
to come by?

i think it's hilarious that the only band that got mashnote
moving is Denzel and Huhn (who are awesome... but don't
strike me as the move-y type)

thats the secret isnt it :)

a couple of good friends of mine make fantastic stuff using
c64s as synths and a clapped out box for hip hop beats,
along with other stuff from the vergeside!

yeah, totally!!!
i wish i had some older equipment.
it would be bastard to sequence things and sync everything
up, but the sounds can be fantastic.

if youd like to hear these guys

-> chrism + fenris

downloads of some of their live sets are available in the
discography section, i recommend the hyde park set as a
starting point, and the songs 'space ghost', 'podfunk', and
'eskimo'
