Oh I can't wait to get that album... Xtal and Heliosphan I
used to have on mp3, and they are totally awesome!!!! Oh
this will be a great Christmas!!!! :)

Phobiazero from Sweden on 2001-11-13 20:22 [#00051600]

No one knows... well, maybe Rich does. :-)

yeah, I find it freaking amazing that he wrote some of the
stuff from that album when he was 14 or 15... I wonder if he
wrote Heliosphan or an excellent one like that when he was
15... that just blows the mind...

Yeah, that's pretty young. I'm impressed. I wish I knew the
chronology, dammit!

I think there are only a few people that actually know when
each song was made, Rdj probably being the one to ask. Hey
if you actually read this rdj why not let us know?

first Aphex Twin album I owned... and the first vinyl. And
the first I ever saw. (looked in the window of that store
and me jaw dropped... IT HAD TO BE MINE!!! heheh)

I see an excessive use of fake smilies on this page.

Ophecks from Nova Scotia on 2001-11-17 03:54 [#00052936]

Hehe, that's true.

The_Funkmaster from Newfoundland, Canada on 2001-11-17 05:22 [#00052960]

Huh? :) What the devil are you taliing about? :)

i wish i knew.... on that AFX Live in Japan bootleg mp3 i
have has him playing Pulsewidth and Heliosphan.....quite an
odd contrast between those and Carn Malth, Come to Daddy
Mummy Mix, which he played after those..... but effective
and mesmerizing nonetheless.

My faves are Xtal, Tha, Green Calx and Heliosphan.

OH AND by the way, here's some more fake smiles.
:):):):):):):):):)(:):):):):):):):):):):):)

I have written music notes for Heliosphan if anybody wants
them

The_Funkmaster from Newfoundland, Canada on 2001-11-17 14:29 [#00053013]

Oh, I love Heliosphan... it was probably my first Aphex Twin
song, other then Come to Daddy (which I saw on tv)...

amoxo on 2001-11-18 20:07 [#00053248]

judging from his interviews, i'd say that the whole 85-92
thing is bullshit.

there's an article on the joyrex site in which he says that
the whole thing about him building his own synths and
starting out young was pretty much just a lie for the media.

then there's an interview with mike paradinas who says that
he doesn't build his own equipment, just a hoax.

i've always been really curious about the 85-92 thing so if
anyone has any other info bring it on

The_Funkmaster from Newfoundland, Canada on 2001-11-18 20:11 [#00053251]

well, judging from his interviews he has worked on his music
with 3 goats, and the like... so, judging literally from his
interviews probably isn't the wisest thing to do...

Ophecks from Nova Scotia on 2001-11-18 20:40 [#00053257]

Richard is not sarcastic at all, and he never bullshits.

Mutant Death Pengwin from Medicine Hat on 2001-11-18 20:58 [#00053264]

murray, hook a brotha up wit those notations!!! e-mail em to
me please!

Murray from England on 2001-11-18 23:28 [#00053333]

I e-mailed Joyrex ages back with all different types of
riffs on the keyboard of Aphex/Cylob/U-ziq songs. i would be
quite happy to do all that again for any fan that
particuarly wnats them. Some of the songs include Beetles,
Heliosphan, come to daddy (guitar riff), milkman, Mt Saint
Micheal + Saint Micheals mount, Swan Vesta, Ptolemy, Arched
Maid via RDJ and loads more.
They are all written out as notes (I.E a, c, f etc.) so if
anybody wants them just e-mail me.
Phobiazero might wanna post them on the site, that would
save me alot of time, and everyone could have them.
