Ok... so im looking around for a minidisc, to do sampling with...
and in my search, I discovered that the nomad 3 jukebox has a mic in, and records to wav. 20 gigs.
Does anyone have this? Whats the recording quality?
Anyone have any thoughts?
My roommates say that they dont trust Creative products.
Thanks!

Make sure to get the Jukebox *RECORDER* because there are seperate models that record and don't.
I wasn't really clear on that at first.
I had a non-recording model, and it worked for about a day and crapped out...but it was used. Luckily i got a refund.

yes, I've got the nomad jukebox 3 player... you can record to wav, or directly to mp3... works great, the quality is satisfying... it works great as an mp3-player, too!

is there a limit on the record length, and what's the quality like?
surely it's not encoding TO mp3; i'd guess it'd encode to a different format, as that'd require quite a beasty cpu in the thing.

i dont think theres a record length limit...no.
what do you mean? you can record directly to .mp3-format, you can choose quality from 64kbps to 320kbps...
