That's my favorite synth in the world!
I don't think it'll sell at that price though - A little
optimistic I think.
One of them sold over here not too long ago for quite a bit
less - Apparently it went to a well known electronic
producer but it's being kept under wraps as to who it is.

I think synth collectors will pay that much for it. There
are VERY few of those models made, only like 4 people have
them in the entire world.

If i had that much money i would buy it. Think of the sonic
mayhem i could cause.

It's rare as in "hell yeah!", but not worth 100k. It doesn't
sound radically different from the EMS Synthi A or VCS. It's
just a lot bigger.

For that kind of money, you could get a massive modular
system from Technosaurus, Doepfer, Synthesizers.com or AS.

Some insane collector might pick it up though.

I'd love an EMS Synthi - Easily the best effects machine
ever made - I know Aphex used his a lot.
You can get the EMS filters and trapzoid generators for the
AS modular these days - Definetly no.1 on my wish list these
days. Talked to the AS guy not long ago - Works out to
around £1,000 for a nice AS system (RS Intergrator I
think..) with multi-mode and EMS filters installed - A
pretty serious machine really!

I think Autechre have got an EMS Synthi too - And Rich
Devine uses it a lot.

they are rare, but it's even more rare to find one that
works properly, and even more rare to find someone to work
on them.

Has anyone seen the VCS4? That's pretty rare too. I saw
Coldcut had one.
