it's a nice movie...
haven't seen it in a while, and wouldn't mind watching it
again. :)

It's by Peter Weir, right?

I love the film.

I just wish my sister hadn't told me the ending before I saw
it!

I hate knowing ANYTHING about a movie.
If someone reccomends it - that's enough.
I mean, I don't want to know if the ending is good or bad,
or surprising.
I'll let my own impression decide.

"Many of the elements in the film are very similar to Philip
K. Dick's 1957 novel "Time Out Of Joint," about a man from
1998 who is obliviously kept under government observation in
a fake 1957, in this case in order to unwittingly work out
lunar warfare strategies. Specific similarities include
Truman overhearing his captors on his car radio and the
scene in which he attempts to make people look round in the
convenience store."

I completely forgot about this - I need to hunt down some
more Dick short story collections, I prefer them to the
novels (unlike Mr Savage :D)

Of course, it actually is a novel, whereas I thought it was
a short story, thus I look like a complete prat.

Yes, I have the soundtrack to Truamn Show. Burkhard
Dallwitz and Philip Glass did the score.

The movie is one of my all time favorites.

One of the worst and most annoying films i've ever seen. It
doesn't "work" if logic is applied, and it's just downright
NOT FUNNY.

in other words, a piece of shit. can't even remember the
soundtrack so it can't be that great either

i hate it when people dont like a comedy because they havent
rolled over the floor laughing, i mean it could be tragicly
comic

pretty good film.. interesting concept..
i like the idea though.. i think everyone's considered at
one point that the entire world around them is just a
show..

isn't there another movie by the guy who made this? about
some kinda ai woman or something..
doesn't look as good as truman..

A local band in my town wrote a song with the exact same
bassline, they were horrified when I took glee in pointing
it out :)
