i have to submit a track to this compilation cd that is
getting released here in oz... i had to keep it under 4 mins
too (which was a task for me!)

anyway, would love for you guys to check it out and tell me
what you think... its differant to my norm i guess... im
still not sure if i should submit it or not... your comments
might help

theme to nuclear

well. one thing: the levels were a bit weird and it kept
crackling out on my speakers (that main droney
thinger-ding). other than that it sounds really pretty. the
percussion was a bit repetative after a bit, but it didn't
feel wrong, so...*shrugs* did you mean for it to crackle out
like that? if not...is it just me, or something?

yeah the crackle was intentional, but i dont think it works
so well.. i was trying to get a really textured sound but it
just sounds like that pad is badly eq'ed doesnt it

Yeah I agree with what you said...the crackle doesn't sound
organic, it just sounds poorly eq'ed. I am not as good as
you at this stuff but some minor granulation on top of the
pad instead of crackling would sound better, at least in my
completely worthless opinion anyway. :D

cheers man... opinion is not worthless at all.. im thinking
i might get my friend to do some vocal harmonies on it
(she's in choirs and shit)

actually, I never said anything in the past about your
music... just how much you advertise your music... I've said
actually that you're music is really good... I'll give it a
listen!

hmmm... well ill tell you why : see, my friends are into
metal music, so they have no clue about electronic music,
other than "it blows" so i have nowhere else to roadtest my
music... theres my girlfriend, alyssa, but she says
everything i do is good, bias!

anyway yeah... :D

What I wouldn't do to have a girlfriend like that. My
girlfriend is too paralytic to see these days let alone
string a cohesive sentence together. :(

Is the title of the track referring to something in
particular?

not really... i kind of tried to do an imaginary soundtrack
track... yknow, like the theme to some wierd movie... and
when i'd finished "nuclear" sounded like the kind of movie
that would suit the track :)

i hope so anyway... :)

It's a good title...When you have finished can I do a remix
because I just like the title :D

i'm in the same situation.. minus the girlfriend part..
my friends are all into metal/rock and i know about 2 people
in real life that at least somewhat appreciate electronic
stuff and will listen to my tracks..

and downloadin the track, btw..

hmm... i like this track.. the fuzziness is a bit much.. but
it kinda fits... with the strange sounds in there.. like, it
sounds like some one fiddling with a clear tape dispenser or
something.. interesting..
i really think the female vocals that you spoke of would
fit nicely with this, with the strings and such.

well, keep up the good track-makings..
