and they are both really good artists !!!!

i fart in your general direction

chem. bros. are horrible

i would quickly compare them to those people that made that
Zombie Nation song then to a god of music like AFX.

PostModernVancouver from Downtown Vancouver on 2001-11-12 00:08 [#00050766]

Erm, they dont sound the same at all.
And AFX doesnt like them whatsoever....
Not to dissapoint u, but he has mentioned this in a few
interviews in the past.

Aktium from bat country on 2001-11-12 04:37 [#00050866]

chemical brothers are terrible! i do like 2 of here songs
though, they're prety decent. let forver be and setting
sun.

erm, actually some chems stuff does sound a bit aphexy
(certainly rephlexy) and the do share influence and probably
a lot of common equipment.

The helston flora remix of normal sounds like stuff from dig
your own hole and a few tracks sample the same breaks from
what i can tell.

I am not saying they are the same but there is some overlap
between what they make and like: the dynamix 2 compilation
on rephlex was has a similar feel to a lot of the chems
stuff.

I know afx hates the crystal method saying they are the poor
man's chemical brothers, so erm he likes em more than (or
despises them less than) the crystal method

i know i have opened up a can of worms...

Barrett, Syd from T dot. on 2001-11-12 10:05 [#00050913]

I think the Chemical Brothers are superfly myself.

jupiter from france on 2001-11-12 13:31 [#00050966]

all of u guys are wacko, they both sound alike, in all ways,
shut up and buy afx's new album.

jupiter from united kingdom on 2001-11-12 13:36 [#00050970]

And plus, both of them are very skilled, none of u can
tell me that u did'nt hear the chemical brothers on the
piliar tires comercial, keep that in mind !!!

And afx's stuff is strange, sometime, he's got to relax,
and the chemical brothers have a big amount of strangness
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
also, all of u are wacko
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

jupiter from south manchester on 2001-11-12 13:39 [#00050972]

The chemical brothers are not as crazy as he is anyway,
afx is alright, but he always looks really stressed out !!!

Ham O' Man on 2001-11-12 13:40 [#00050973]

Good job, dickface.

Ham O' Man on 2001-11-12 13:48 [#00050975]

I'm sorry, Nancy, I didn't mean that.

B3n from Sheffield on 2001-11-13 19:08 [#00051578]

I like the chemicals a lot, but I wouldn't want to be
calling aphex big beat!

I don't think aphex like any techno other than early
detroit. His fav electronic music is stuff made in the 60's
and prior I would guess. Could be wrong.

afx only listens to kick ass outdoor violin solos.

The problem with them is they are so fucking corny. Like
Fatboy Slim, just loads of cheesey. That said, their first
record as The Dust Brothers isn't bad at all, it's pretty
much gone downhill from there.

(the dust brothers are different people. You might be
thinking of exit planet dust)

I don't mind the chemical brothers. Its cheesy, but some of
its fun.

the chemical brothers used to be called dust brothers, until
the real dust brothers told them to change their name.

and i don't like chemical brothers, but i love aphex,
chemical brothers and crystal method are like a weak
versions of the prodigy.

"Aphex used a break that was also used by the Chemical
Brothers, so he must like them!"

^ I was waiting for that post.

Combo: i bought Come With Us for seven euros a few weeks
ago, i must say i find it pretty great.

furoi: Fluke is one of my favourite electronic music bands!
i hope they release a new album soon...

now Aphex Twin and the Chemical Brothers are almost nothing
alike in my opinion, apart from them making both electronic
music...

both a.twin and chem.bros have lots of awesome tracks. i
