Thunks. It does sort of remind me of cex melody, and he is
hung up on the nostalgia of being a kid too.

My new .."melody creating heuristic"... ,uh
1) only use white keys because the black ones are too busy
being my slaves
2) make a very very simple melody with maybe 4 keys only,
then spread this out with a lot of empty space between them
and just fill in interesting patches.
3) make a round usually (everything is repeated again 6 or 8
or so rows later)

Very pretty. Reminds me of Carpet Musics. Ends too abruptly.

Not at all like your usual stuff.

Who are you and what have you done to mWm?

Oh man! I got replies... and here I thought this topic would
sink to the bottom, so I had to spend all this time
making a new pretty homo song in order to have an excuse to
bump it. *siiiiiigh*

I now have to tend to w M w in my basement. I have to make

wow, the wMw, i really enjoyed those. i agree with mr.
fleetmouse. it's rather different from your traditional
stuff. it was rather pleasant (though it could do with a
proper ending...).

both homo tracks have a "generated" music box quality, the
phobiazero one is a little more interesting, but i think you
need a better algorithm or a better editor. they are, of
course, repetitive and incomplete. i enjoyed listening to
the phobiazero one. unfortunately, my wife was also in the
room and her review was pretty harsh, she likened the tracks
to an obnoxious wind-up toy.

This is the second time I've written a track in the
good name of phrobiazero, and he's yet to even acknowledge
it... wtf?? Rob Fragilenine writes one single shoddy piece
for him and gets renowned recognition...

In the 3rd and possibly final installment of the homo
trillogy for today's musical endeavors, I have hastily glued
three other melody(shmelodies) together with hairy duct
tape. In the end the listener can see the chocolate bunnies,
including qrter and phrobiazero of course, frolicing and
hopping over the fag rainbows. This part makes me cry.

http://artists.iuma.com/IUMA/Bands/wmw/

"MelodyShmelody (chocolate bunny rainbows)"

Thanks ambsace, and I know these aren't intended as finished
polished tracks with finished endings or anything.

You and your wife's reviews are interesting plaidgiraffe.. I
didn't use any sort of generated software, like fractals or
anything like that. I have always loved music box music
though. Instead of a better algorithm, I think I need better
sounds to use. Right now the tones are created by looping a
micro-micro-second of sound.

w M w closes the curtains which are painted with pictures of
baby ducks and clouds in bright colors... but what's this??
The audience wants an encore? ... slowly the curtains
open... qrter and phrobiazero who had taken the opportunity
of the curtain's dark covering suddelny found themselves
having sex in front of the entire audience. After they exit
the stage embarrassed, w M w kindly supplies his audience's
demand with a new melody(shmelody) that is structured in 5's
instead of 4's or 6's.

when chocolate bunnies "picks up" at 1:10ish...that was when
my eyes got watery and i wanted to find a faggot rainbow of
my own.

the queer encore...it seemed more like a rock n' roll music
box. like the kindof music box parents would've spoken out
against, and churches would've condemned fourty years ago.

okay, because of my extreme vanity, i had to instantly and
narcissistically download anything that has my very gay
pseudonym in the title..
well.. as mistur ambsace said, it sounds like rock music box
kind of.. but i'll be more specific and say it sounds like
some kind of dainty medieval roll 'n' without the rock
music/nintendo box thingy that all the stoned or slightly
dense medieval children would "rock out" to while gyrating
their pelvises about in a provocative manner.. but don't
worry.. their penances would soon come, after they agree
with their parents and are placed in the iron maiden for
listening to "devil melodies."

errr.. nice track!!!! *<): )

hey wumwuh I was going to remix this - well add a cheesy
beat and some wanking progressive rock organ solos - anyway
- it's not in any particular tempo, very annoying. Pick
something nice and even and stick to it, also it is out of
tune. Are you being deliberately annoying?

OK you cunt I fitted it to 125bpm and pitch shifted it so
it's in C# and I'm in the process of creating a euro-trance
Hi-NRG remix.

Oh, great! I see you've chosen the wanking
progressive rock organ solos, very very good choice. In
fact, anything wanking is very suitable for these
homo tracks.

tempo problem: well, each one stays at a steady tempo
throughout.. I'm not sure if my software, "modplug"'s
tempo-ometer will exactly match the scale of other software.
You might be having trouble with the construction instead,
because each one uses a different geometric number as a base
for it's repetitive construction (so the last shmelody
repeats every 125 rows because it's based on groups of 5)

pitch problem: this could very well be a problem, I don't
know much about how this works with modplug. Since I make
the tones I use by looping a very very tiny section of
sound, I'm pretty sure the size of that loop determines the
frequency of a or something. So.. the whole track might just
be in quite an odd pitch, but it only sounds "correct"
because, since they are all in that same odd pitch,
the listener percieves them as relative to eachother to
percieve the melody anyway..?

Just try it and see how fun (and funny) it is. All you have
to do is say something like.. oh, let's see here "phobiazero
is a gay fag wus".. ha ha! that was a pretty good one.
Phobiazero thinks it's pretty funny too. Try to spread the
fun around the netherlands by spraypainting such phrases on
buildings or maybe writing a book with that as the title or
something.

It's easy to be funny. I'll give you a joke I've heard, a
very funny joke to use in your humorous endeavors: Q: What's
the difference between a porche and a pile of dead babies?
A: I don't have a porche in my garage. I hope this helps.
