Does it cost anything? All I need it for is to pay for a
Passarani CD. I heard they charge you if you want to add a
credit card. Is this true? How much?

it doesn't cost you anything. well, i think. they charge a
very, very small amount per transaction, and thats only if
you are the seller on places like ebay.

hope that helps. either way, its a very handy service to be
able to use.

Hey! Get in line dork :)

Fuck this shit. It says everything is free in the personal
account info crap, but as soon as I want to move on to page2
with my transaction, it says my limit is $0.00.

Do you have your account activated? They have to transfer
two small arbitrary deposits (like 21 cents and 43 cents)
into your bank account so you can reply to verify that it is
in fact your account. That takes a few days if I remember
correctly. They may charge merchants on ebay a surcharge,
just like credit cards charge stores that accept them 3 or 4
percent of purchases.
But as for me, I've used it a lot with no trouble at all, no
cost to me.
To send money all you have to do is know the persons e-mail
that they use for their paypal account, and do 'transfer
funds' or something to them.

I had an account set up, but closed it... call me paranoid
or whatever, but I just don't trust the internet with my
credit card number... my parents had their stolen before,
and I guess I'm ruined for it...

you're paranoid - it's safer to use your creditcard on the
internet, as opposed to leaving it in the bar while you get
drunk.

Yeah, it's really no different when you hand your credit
card to a gas attendant to get gas. o wait, i think my
state is one of the few places where self-service gasoline
is against the law.

nevermind, bad example. i think that is more risky (the gas
thing)

that's right. you get a code with that transaction on your
bankstatement.

that code is your activation code.

the reason that it shows up as zero is that it remains at
zero until:
someone pays you by paypal, it sits in your account until
you pay it into your bank account.

but if you buy something, it comes straight out of your
proper bank.

okay?

OK, here's the deal:
I want to pay this ant-zen.com guy for a Passarani CD. I go
to send money. I type in the amount 16.50¤ and the other
little bits and pieces. As soon as I hit 'continue', there's
a red text saying I have to enroll on the "exteded use
program", pay them $1.95 to get my 4 Verification digits.
There's nothing FREE about that.

Thank god for slsk. Atleast I have the MP3s.
