god dammit this song is so haunting

the vocals are abit too bjorkish... as in rip off...
but dammit the music is amazing

seeing the actual singer made the whole bjork imagery
experience fade a tad :) and the rest of it is just shots
from the film. but then, you make a solid point :)

i presume youre not talking about gollum singing: that's not
the track i referred to
but i like that track too, as minimal as it can get, so to
say, i think that track rules too actually it's better than
gwety mernans (6 of drukqs)

emiliana torrini who sings gollums song is icelandic. It's
not a björk ripoff, they just sound so alike because of the
accent. every icelandic female vocalist is compared to
björk, which is unfair.

Emiliana Torrini is great, you should check out her debut
album.

practically in labor :)

ok, so the producers of LOTR might have wanted someone like
björk to do it. but emiliana has proofed herself as a good
vocalist and she didn't change her style to copy björk's
for gollums song. but i can see how björk is pissed. being
"replaced" by someone who has a resemblence of her voice is
pretty lame of the producers to do.

no the song during the end credits

one of the biggest surprises of my music-listening,
movie-watching life was hearing a previously unreleased
bjork song during the end credits of being john malkovich..
i had no idea (apparently no one knew about it until the
movie was in theaters). and it's one of bjork's best songs,
too ("amphibian").

I think I like the song Gollum actually sang better.
