I do it all the time. Just have a lot of patience in the
programming.

I was thinking of putting up some quick like...examples or
whatever as .flp files for people to check out, if they
want. I don't eman to sound liek I know everything, but it
might help some peeps.

Increase the tempo dude!

Call me a moron, but if you spaced out everything else this
would work flawlessly.

Now that I helped you ...

Yeah der doubling the tempo is one way, but you don't HAVE
to.
1/4 note rolls are usually fast enough for me anyways, and
you can do them in the piano roll.

It's more about the actual programming fo them.

Or, go to the little Delay tab for the sample, turn the time
town to just above 0, turn the feeback up to
half-way, and the number up to 10. Mess around with the time
to your liking. It works quite well, I find.
So it looks like this and sounds like this

I won't even comment on this...it's SOO fucking easy...there
are even three ways to do it...

i don't think od should share it... i think everyone should
learn it for himself... i hadn't much help when i asked for
it the first time...

At least some advice then.

I'm probably a bit of a git but I agree with Sadist. I just
don't think I want to give away my hard learned secrets in 2
secs. Besides there is a bit more to it than just copy this.
You have to appreciate certain basics, such as build up etc
etc. One key piece of advice I would give is use Cubase VST
for creating complex beats its so much faster and quicker to
use. Fruityloops is to slow to edit beats and not user
friendly enough to create complex beats and lots of
variations at speed.

heh I feel the same way.... let em find out for
themselves..... I had no mentors... I had to leard it the
hard way.... and I think it's better like that.... really
helps you understand the programs, better....

Listening to other people's stuff and being imaginative.

record the sound of a drill, then drag it into one of your
sequences.

offline Junktion from Northern Jutland (Denmark) on 2003-09-12 14:38 [#00860271]
Points: 9713 Status: Lurker

ok...

1st way I learned to do it was by going into "song setting"
and putting the bar-length up to 64...
Then I set the tempo 4 times the speed of my actual track
(120 = 480).
Just play around with it...in that tempo everything is
drill, but if you keep your steps 4 times as far from each
other, it sounds like a normal beat.
this is done in that way

2nd way to do it is at normal tempo. You first make a little
beat to play with, then you take for instance the snare, and
put it in the piano-roll. Then you try taking on of the
hits, and shorten it down a 4th...then put four of them (or
8) together. You get the effect if your playing with it.

3rd way is like purlieu described it. Haven't been playing
much with that though

Use Supatrigga from www.smartelectronix.com. It'll make
things a bit easier.

I haven't used floops..ever, but wouldn't it just be easier
to mess around with 32nd and 64th notes, instead of having
4x BPM?

that's exactly as the second way i described, but I often
find it easyer to use 64steps and 4xBPM

i only use fruity loops as a "sketch pad"
i do all my editing, arranging, slicing, and other
programming in Acid.
