Ive just been to board.ign.com and some unlightened geeza wrote dis....
Trent Reznor only used synthezisers to a small extent and when he did he experimented with Drum'n'Bass not Techno. He is nowhere near the most influential Dance/Electronica artist. He influenced Rock musicians to start using some electronic equipment other than guitars and drums and stuff. If anybody is influential to Dance/Electronica its people like Kraftwerk, Cybotron, Juan Atkins, Goldie, Robert Miles, GrooveRider, Liam Howlett and maybe even Richard D. James AKA Aphex Twin. I don't know where you got Trent Reznor out of all of those people.
what dafuk is "even aphex twin?" and why's he last?

Either that person isn't too informed or part of electronic music, or he meant that 'even the VERY EXPERIMENTAL Aphex Twin had influenced the very COMMERCIAL dance/electronica market' ... *shrug* whatev0r.

Virtually every car commercial that isn't using a Lenny Kravitz song is using some IDM song.
