god dammit BT's new album "Emotional Technology" is so
FUCKING TIGHT.

Its so damn catchy... and the best production ever...

Ive been reading interviews by him... and its just amazing
how much he knows about synthesis and production etc...

blows my mind.

I know alot of you dont like him... but I really need to
reccomend this album to those of you who are open minded
(and by that, I dont mean listening to vsanres... but also
open minded enough to listen to pop)

read his interview in remix magazine if you can find it...

he talks about how he wrote several tracks... and its just
nuts.

Yeah but is the music quality? It has to have something
special if you're recommending it. I remember BT from the
past, sort of GOA trance. I use to have a tape or something
but I sold it or got rid of it. Or was it someone else who
had a tape I can't remember.

BT is the guy's intials and artist name. He does a lot of
dancey type stuff production, but according to a book I've
got, he never DJs.

I personally think its quality. I mean, we all have
different opinions... but I love this.

Its pop. For sure. Its got catchy melodies, 4 to the floor
beats, breaks etc... its definatelty made for danceclubs
etc... but I love it. So, take it as you will...

Yeah his name is Brian Transeau...I used to listen to his
stuff a few years ago. He does a kind of smooth version of
Trance music, not altogether unpleasent to listen to when
you are in the mood for it :P

Yes! Another BT fan!!!!

I have Emmotional Technology and it fucking blows me away.
INCREADABLY well-produced, catchy, and just...amazing. And
it's not ALL pop, there's some harder stuff there, and also,
the "Pop" songs are all 6+ minutes, so they're hardly gonna
be hits are they?

Zeus, have you got ESCM too? I think that's supieror in
melodic terms (and it's got less vocals, so I'm bound to
like it)

I'm surprised anyone here would like BT, I mean it's far too
catchy and tuneful... ;)
..just kidding.

Ya know, I listened to a few songs, and then listened to the
whole album via samples bn.com has and well I didn't really
care for it.

Maybe it's an album you'd have to play a few times to fell
catchyness. His album 'IMA' was very sweet though.

Eh, I personally feel that Sasha's 'Airdrawndagger' is a
superior album to Emotional Technology, and it's around the
same lines, check it out sometime.

i listened to somnamlbulist, and while it's extreemly well
produced with MANY tricks from braindance/idm/wathever i
just think it's shit...
it really does nothing for me at all...
i'd listen to milkman anytimes over this crap, sorry

Somnamlbulist is probably thr worst track on there, I always
skip it.

I personally found Airdrawndagger boring (I loved the first
few tracks, but then it got too repetitive)

I've benn listening Emotional Technology for about 2 weeks
and think it's a decent album. I found it contains a mix of
genres and moods. As some person said before, this album
should be heard without prejudices. My favorites were the
poppy "Superfabulous", "Last moment of clarity" and the
progressive alike "Communicate" (will use this at parties).
"Circles" sounds a little Linkin Park-ish rock or something
:)

Movement In Still Life was quality. Fuck all you IDM snobs
who write this guy off because he's not approved by the
pretentious class.
