okay, various people seem interested in this project so I
thought I'd put it up here for all you xltronic producers.

I'm trying work my way around the whole music industry to
promote musicians cheaply but effectively. I plan to
distribute CDs, but they will be mp3 CDs of artists in a
similar genre. Because they're data CDs, I (or the musician)
can also include artist websites, bios,
merchandisinn/booking info, concert dates, etc, etc. Also, I
can fit 5 or 6 albums on one CD. Once I get enough
participation I will make the CDs, which cost about a buck a
piece and sell them for about as much. I have my own plans
of making revenue off of this, which would be split between
the musicians on the CD and myself. A lot of musicians
promote their mp3s on websites like mp3.com or iuma or
zebox, but that requires downloading and other
inconveniences (member accounts and pop-ups and stuff).
Hopefully what I do will help musicians and customers alike.

Of course, this is good for people who aren't concerned
about having people share their music. There's a very
intangible argument about the effect mp3s have on the music
industry economy. I believe they are good, especially for
independent musicians, and I am trying to prove my point;
the RIAA and other musicians argue differently.

So that, in a nutshell, is humbleice the company. You all
know how to reach me if you want more information or decide
to participate. If you don't, e-mail me at
