thanks much for listening.. i know it sounds kinda bad to have "apathetic response (spam)" in the topic title, but that's the name of the track.. besides the spam part..i should have thought a little more about that because it can be taken a different way than it was intended.. i know you are on 56k and it's really time consuming to download stuff, so you are extra nice for downloading. i know how bad it it is sometimes, i was just disconnected twice and had to wait about 45 minutes as it tried to reconnect, after i finished typing, and trying to reply to this message. thanks again. i'll listen to some more of your stuff on zebox and post what i think of it on this thread.. |

good god, man. the first half sounds like eigenradio remixed by ae (maybe too random for my taste) but i like the direction you take with the mellow synth and glitchy sounds halfway through. i do wish this had been more developed and the melodic insinuations expanded. |

well. the levels are really kinda low, i think (although i'll thank you for that, otherwise i might've hurt myself when it first started playing). i'm not much for noise, so i don't really know what to say (but i'm not really all that familiar with much noise, so...meh. ignore me). i like it once it hits about 1:45, though. it's like a mechanical jungle. |

thanks for the comments. i've been making another track to go after this, this is just the "empathetic worm" part of it.. i'll post the rest on this thread when i finish. thanks again for listening.. i'll queue up some songs up of yours to comment on.. i don't know if i'll get to it tonight.. but if you are still out there, are there any one(s) that'd you like some critique or criticism on especially? |

i try and get as much in as i can. i've got this wack-o theory that it helps me (as a "musicmaker") figure out what i'm doing with my own stuff. *shrugs* i could just be kidding myself, but. eh. if nothing else it's really interesting to hear all the stuff everybody else puts out. lets you see more about them. *shrugs* ...yeah, i'll go away now. carry on, citizens. |

salon is an old favorite, autumn sketches is more recent, i was pleased with how it turned out. jazz hands i'm happy with how it turned out. try these... i know you've listened to some of the zebox tracks, but not entirely sure which ones. if you go to the music page there are descriptions (some of which aren't exactly informative). i tend to post things that are complete, and i'm usually not going back and changing too many things at that point, i'm familiar with my aesthetic and am interested in your reactions, positive or negative, and whatever form in which you put those reactions (suggestions for changes, liked/didn't like, add an amen break) is fine. i think it is a little disappointing how little enthusiasm there is on the board for sharing music. of course, there is a lot of amateurish half baked stuff, and too much to listen to it all. also the all too common "i spent an hour on this track, what do you think?" nevertheless, listening to the work people do and commenting on it is part of the fun of being a part of xltronic. i do always appreciate when anyone takes the time to listen and share their thoughts. |
