ok... this is my first ever problem with my powerbook...
its no longer reading cds or dvds
i put it in, it thinks for a few seconds (between 5-15 seconds) and spits it out
it was working fine the other day... any ideas?

i think it's a macintosh, that might be the problem.

ok... it works now...
i was freaking out...
i put in a CD, a DVD, and a CD-R, and it spit them all out multiple times
then i tried one last time... and it worked...
