exist but in my distorted mind I'm listening to it... I can
almost feel his warm fuzzy turtleneck... no that's not a
euphemism...

soundmurderer is where its at. it shows up v-snares as a
one-trick pony.

vsnares isn`t jungle for all i know d00d. `tis drill core.
and so is soundmurderer.

distorted minds has a few jams for sure.

but re: vsnares vs soundmurderer. well, they're only
slightly comparable, at least the stuff thats been released.
i know soundmurderer has some more noisy stuff, but i've
actually not heard it yet.

soundmurderer's released stuff is great, but its just
recreation/rmix/versions of 94 style jungle.

snares is really all over the board, from more jazz-fusion
stuff like on the addict 7" to the harsh-noisecore stuff
like on making orange things.

distorted minds are a complete rip-off of twisted
individual.

you could certainly claim that alot of d&b artists "rip"
each other off stylistically. but its just part of the
culture.

offline eXXailon from purgatory on 2003-09-03 10:12 [#00847909]

So how insane is this on a scale of, say, 1 to 10?

offline cutups from Pittsburgh (United States) on 2003-09-03 10:31 [#00847948]
Points: 257 Status: Regular

i wouldn't say all that insane really...its just on the edge
of what is acceptable in the current d&b world. but its fun
for what it is.

i must be honest. at first, mainly because of "deforrest
gate`s" tone i assumed for a minute that "Ditorted Minds"
could be a rip-off of this so called "Twisted Individual"
jungle producer that this particular member pointed out.
After listening to quite a few 12"`s and the "Tooled Up" lp,
i came to this conclusion:

Why the FUCK would you say something as cocky as "distorted
minds are a complete rip-off of twisted
individual." or" about as insane as fatboy slim. or
aphrodite" when "Twisted Individual" is as mellow as
Calibre???

Pushy Cocky Wannabe members of this community piss me off.
I mean look at this imbecil, 33 points, a newbie and coming
out strong from Fuck knows where claiming that "this is a
rip of that" and shit that doesn`t even apply.

Cocky assholes , newbies. Distorted Minds is indeed raw,
hell, even straight out violent compared to Twisted
Individual. Wash your fucking mouth kid, and next time you
come up as strong as this to someone on this MB, at least
have the good musical example to backup your cockiness.

Amen.

hehe. my opinion on this topic is that i get tired of
breakcore after a couple tracks. i like it but it's not my
favorite. i think venetian snares if my favorite in the
genre. happy?

this isn`t a breakcore topic man. Distorted Minds is
jungle, and so is Twisted Individual.

it's drum and bass dude...

please don't kill me....i like them.

okay.......is Bad Company (aka EIB) drum n bass or
jungle??...how about Technical Itch, Dillinja, Juju, Source
Direct, or Ed Rush & Optical??

how about Roni Size, Calibre, Dj Marky, Dj Suv or Dj
Patiffe??

i guess what i`m trying to ask is this: what`s your
criteria when labeling an artist as drum n bass or
jungle??.......mine is this (and i might be wrong
here)...drum n bass can be anything....i mean look at Roni
Size`s "New Forms", is it enough to put an mc, a couple
turntables and some fast beats in order to make drum n
bass??......Jungle on the other hand, is much more
aggressive, more precise in the rythm organization and
structure.....that`s how i differenciate between d n`b and
jungle.........

what`s yours phresch??...or anyone else interested...
